Substation is one of the best small venues in Seattle. I'm always very impressed by the airflow. Never get too hot there which I very much appreciate. Love that the merch is in another room. Makes it easy to ask for sizes and check out the merch in better lighting.
The security girl was the best! She made my whole night with her good energy. I love this venue and I hope to see her more often
Easy to find getting out was another story but I am not familiar with the area.
One of the best music venues in Seattle
SWEATY.
Absolutely amazing bar and venue. Had an excellent time, start to finish. Drinks are a tad pricey, but the outdoor area makes up for it. Complimentary water was also much appreciated!! Will definitely go back!! ♥️
Awesome guests, great venue. Thank Jesus for Substation and you gotta pray for parking
Great sound system, good shows and nice people!
Great live venue.
Went here on a Saturday night for a Dj event. It was 21+. You get carded and bag check. Stamped ...no re-entry tho there are 2 sets of restrooms, 2 bars and 2 separate rooms to dance in. One room is smaller with a small Bar top area to sit, there was no AC in there tho so it was quite warm. The other room is way larger and has a few couches to sit on, the main stage is there, and there was ac. Went at about 10pm, there was a reasonable amount of people. But got busy fast. There's a cute photo booth in there too in the hall. Wasn't super fancy or anything, rather dark and grungy but the vibe was chill and safe. Will definitely go back again!

Only been here twice (Dec 24 & May 25) to see Feed Me, but both times I enjoyed myself. Plenty of room to move around at this venue. The sound was fantastic, and there are lots of bars both inside and outside of the main room. The bathrooms could be a little bigger/cleaner but it's a club so I'm not going to complain too much. There's also a few places to sit down and chill both outdoors and indoors which is nice.
Great staff. Awesome shows. Comfy venue. What's not to like?
Substation is a solid venue to catch a show. It's kinda grungy, has poor ventilation but if they vibes are right It's a good time.
Great vibes!
I've been to 6 shows over the last year at the Substation. Each time the audio mix for the bands is SUBPAR, in need of improvement. The acoustics or speaker placement is bad. It's difficult to decipher the instruments and typically the singer's vocals in the audio mix. Overall this venue is good in other aspects but I typically go see bands I know and I can hardly recognize the songs. I've had too many disappointing concert nights with poor audio at the Substation which sucks when you're excited to see a certain band.
