My Go-To Spot Every Time for years

Sushi Kanpai has officially become my favorite sushi restaurant. The service here is genuinely excellent — my server always remembers that I love extra masago, which makes every visit feel personal and appreciated. The staff is attentive, friendly, and on top of everything.

The food is always delicious. Every roll I’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. They consistently serve generous portions, and everything tastes incredibly balanced. On top of that, the prices are great for the quality and amount of food you get. It’s one of the few places where you feel like you’re getting real value with every dish.

If you love sushi, great service, and fair pricing, Sushi Kanpai is absolutely worth visiting. I always leave happy and full — highly recommend! 🍣🥢

Walked up from our hotel during happy hour. We were seated immediately and served promptly. Our food was out within 10 minutes. Absolutely the fastest service we've ever received anywhere. Food was amazing. I opted for a Sake trio and let the staff choose for me. They made excellent choices. Our server was fast, friendly and very accurate. Again, wish they had merch. I would have left with a T-shirt or something. Stop by. Enjoy some sushi. 👍

Avoid this spot.
Terrible service with no customer empathy.
I walked in 30 mins before they close on a Wednesday night - they gave me a grubby looking corner terrible which killed the mood for the dining experience.

When I asked if I could get another table, they said “they were kept for larger groups”, despite the restaurant being dead empty half an hour before close on a midweek night.
If it was a busy night, I would’ve empathized with them, but on an empty night, their behavior seemed intentionally rude and unprofessional.

That set the tone for a forgettable dinner.
Average food, terrible dining experience, terrible service - not worth the steep prices.

I have been here twice now and haven’t been disappointed with anything I’ve gotten. They have a big menu and the service has always been friendly and quick.

Came here on a Wednesday from a recommendation from our hotel…… we walked 10 minutes, uphill… to find that they were randomly closed on Tuesday & Wednesday. It’s NOT that hard to change your hours on google & maps… for special events and holidays. I know. I am a small business owner. DO BETTER!!

Utterly lovely experience. Kind and knowledgeable service, alongside utterly delicious and well-prepared sushi. Priced properly as sushi should be; the work put into this delicacy is respectable and excellent. Happy hour times seem popular but not excessively busy. Easy to find a table and a quiet place to consume as much raw (or cooked) fish as your heart/stomach desires.

Came here on my first date and had a wonderful time. I think I’ve met the love of my life. The server was very respectful and the food was filling. We loved the poke chips!

Our baby started to scream while we were waiting for our food, so my husband took him outside to let him calm down. The waiter came to ask me if I would like to take out the food as he said he was afraid we wouldn’t be able to finish the food. I told him that as long as I cut up all the food and feed him continuously, our baby will be ok.

We ordered chicken teriyaki, seafood udon, soda, green tea, mochi ice cream and salmon roll. The waiter should have brought us the ice cream after we finished our other food. But he gave us the ice cream at the same time. By the time we had finished our dinner the ice cream had melted.

Also, we asked for a knife and had to remind him twice to get it. We also asked for an extra plate, but he forgot and didn’t bring it.

When we finally got the bill, we noticed that the prices of some of the entrees were higher than the menu prices, by about $1.5 to $2. When I asked the waiter the reason, he said they increased the price but the prices from the menu were not updated yet. He didn’t want to honor the menu price but a senior employee eventually asked him to. The waiter didn’t apologize but complained that we asked him for so many things. It is true we asked for extra things to share our entrees with our baby. But we aren’t used to getting an attitude for it.

With a different waiter, I think we wouldn’t have come away with such a negative impression.

I’ve been here a few times but their service and food are always great! Today we wanted to go with family but they had to close for a family emergency. I pray for their family and hope they’re doing well.
