Fantastic service and beautiful chef's omakase here. A wonderful birthday treat for my son who was visiting from California! Many thanks to Edward for curating my sake flight!

Really top-notch sushi with lots of options and interesting choices of fish from around the world. Some very good veggie dishes like the mustard greens (which comes with some tuna and an excellent sauce) and other specialty items. Great service too - very knowledgeable about the menu and fish with helpful suggestions.

I had the omakase experience. My original reservation was for a table, but was able to get on the counter seating. Worth it for sure. The dishes before the omakase are well thought. Oysters and chawanmushi. Then the big show are the 12 pieces of nigiri well crafted and thought for with a nice progression in flavor. Rice was perfectly seasoned and at a great temperature. Overall is a very good experience a will highly reccommend it

Very limited menu. Delightful service. There's massive construction going on which we didn't know about so it took us an hour to get here. It said we needed a reservation and they had a prixe fixe style lunch. This was not offered. The service was wonderful and the food was very fresh. Very limited menu with only 2 customers present. There's no need for me to have saved my reservation with a non refundable deposit for this experience.

Edward is a wonderful server who was warm, welcoming & had great recommendations for us. We had a delicious meal & an amazing time!

Great food and service. Only critique is the parking. There is currently extensive roadwork and parking is limited. Sushi Kappo provides parking in a lot, but you have to really search for it due to road closures.

This is always a special place with the best sushi I've ever had ... and also the best rice! We had a geoduck ippins (among many other things) that was so good. Not sure what I expected from it but it was delicious and soooo good. Service was the best: attentive without being fussy and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

I made a reservation a day in advance and clearly stated that I wanted a reserved table in the corner. This was for a Thursday. We arrived 15 minutes early, but the reserved table was in the middle of two groups. We informed the staff that we were okay with waiting for a table in the corner, but they said it was reserved for other guests.

The food was okay but definitely not worth the price. Additionally, this business engages in questionable practices. At the end of the meal, they presented the bill and mentioned that a 20% living wage fee was being added. Why not include this in the food prices? As a result, customers are expected to pay 20% for living wages, 10% in taxes, plus tips.

I guarantee there are other places in Seattle with better food and more transparent business practices. Very disappointing.

We celebrated my birthday on a Thursday night and had the chef’s omakase. Matt was our chef made our night very special. Everything tasted amazing, especially the seared toro with lemon and wasabi, and sweet shrimp with uni. It was amazing value, highly recommend!

Went for omakase and it was a great experience. Sushi was fresh and high quality, on par with other high end, more expensive sushi places around the city. Chef and staffs are super friendly.

The restaurant is overpriced—you can find better options in Seattle for the same cost. We tried six different sushi rolls; two were tasty, but the rest were bland and unremarkable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone with a decent palate or food experience. On top of that, a 20% service charge was automatically included, yet our waitress was noticeably slow.

Let's get one thing out of the way first. This is a higher-end Sushi restaurant, so its quite expensive, even for a Seattle restaurant.
Now that's cleared up, I can talk about the rest.

My wife and I had a 5 course meal with a Sake flight and some extra sushi on the side.

Everything tasted great. But the sushi was especially good. We particularly loved the scallops and the sea-eel. The fish tasted very fresh, and nothing was overly fussy or over-dressed. They let the quality of the ingredients speak for themselves instead of drowning everything in sauces and spices. That's how its supposed to be done in Japanese cuisine, and it was very nice to see that here.

The service was also top notch. We felt very well taken care of by our server who was professional, informative, and fast. The bussers were also very efficient at clearing away used table-ware before anything got cluttered.

I've often spoken about how too many restaurants now focus all their efforts in interesting food, but neglect to organize a good service. Good food is the easy part, and not really what's important when dining out at a nice restaurant. What people really want when they go out is a nice occasion, which only happens if the service is good. And the service was good.

There was only one small issue of my own personal preferences. I was very disappointed to find out that there was no Sushi Omakase option that didn't have oysters, which I can't eat. It was only Sashimi, or sushi with Oysters. I know that's mostly a Me problem, but I had hoped I could have an option for Sushi Omakase without oysters.

Best sushi in Seattle, without a doubt. Unique offerings that you don't often find on sushi menus.
