I made a reservation a day in advance and clearly stated that I wanted a reserved table in the corner. This was for a Thursday. We arrived 15 minutes early, but the reserved table was in the middle of two groups. We informed the staff that we were okay with waiting for a table in the corner, but they said it was reserved for other guests.

The food was okay but definitely not worth the price. Additionally, this business engages in questionable practices. At the end of the meal, they presented the bill and mentioned that a 20% living wage fee was being added. Why not include this in the food prices? As a result, customers are expected to pay 20% for living wages, 10% in taxes, plus tips.

I guarantee there are other places in Seattle with better food and more transparent business practices. Very disappointing.

We celebrated my birthday on a Thursday night and had the chef’s omakase. Matt was our chef made our night very special. Everything tasted amazing, especially the seared toro with lemon and wasabi, and sweet shrimp with uni. It was amazing value, highly recommend!

Went for omakase and it was a great experience. Sushi was fresh and high quality, on par with other high end, more expensive sushi places around the city. Chef and staffs are super friendly.

The restaurant is overpriced—you can find better options in Seattle for the same cost. We tried six different sushi rolls; two were tasty, but the rest were bland and unremarkable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone with a decent palate or food experience. On top of that, a 20% service charge was automatically included, yet our waitress was noticeably slow.

Let's get one thing out of the way first. This is a higher-end Sushi restaurant, so its quite expensive, even for a Seattle restaurant.
Now that's cleared up, I can talk about the rest.

My wife and I had a 5 course meal with a Sake flight and some extra sushi on the side.

Everything tasted great. But the sushi was especially good. We particularly loved the scallops and the sea-eel. The fish tasted very fresh, and nothing was overly fussy or over-dressed. They let the quality of the ingredients speak for themselves instead of drowning everything in sauces and spices. That's how its supposed to be done in Japanese cuisine, and it was very nice to see that here.

The service was also top notch. We felt very well taken care of by our server who was professional, informative, and fast. The bussers were also very efficient at clearing away used table-ware before anything got cluttered.

I've often spoken about how too many restaurants now focus all their efforts in interesting food, but neglect to organize a good service. Good food is the easy part, and not really what's important when dining out at a nice restaurant. What people really want when they go out is a nice occasion, which only happens if the service is good. And the service was good.

There was only one small issue of my own personal preferences. I was very disappointed to find out that there was no Sushi Omakase option that didn't have oysters, which I can't eat. It was only Sashimi, or sushi with Oysters. I know that's mostly a Me problem, but I had hoped I could have an option for Sushi Omakase without oysters.

Best sushi in Seattle, without a doubt. Unique offerings that you don't often find on sushi menus.

We did an omakase experience before valentines and it was so good. Everything tasted amazing and our chefs were so kind and fun. Per their recommendation, if you have room for desert try combining the mochi and black sesame ice cream. This definitely and experience that exceeded every expectation.

A great place to have Japanese food. The food was excellent, the quality of the omakase is definitely worth the price!
Came here for my birthday and booked weeks before for the Chef’s omakase, but apparently I was not notified that the seating will not be in the counter seat, which makes it less of the “omakase” experience itself. I ended up sitting in the regular table, since the counter seat was full so they couldn’t move my seat. I thought the counter seat was included as a part of my reservation, so I didn’t call them.

I recommend to call them if you want the omakase to be served from the chef, right in front of you! It may also be available for first come first serve.

Amazing sushi! Pricey, but worth it. I love their veggie roll selection, particularly the Eastlake roll, soo good! You can load up on veggie rolls for two ppl for $80, so that can be great approach. Sashimi is so fresh.

Just got off the phone with some woman that was very sarcastic and frankly rude as hell. I was just trying to place an order. Told me in a short and quick manner that I should have planned better for tonight. How rude!
