Sushi Samurai is somewhere that continually blows me away and keeps me coming back for more. Their crispy tofu katsu (RIP), their use of fresh ingredients, and the unique flavors that each roll brings are all reasons to patronize this restaurant. The whole menu is vegan and we have not had a bad meal here yet. Updated from previous review on 2025-07-09
It was so delicious every single bite was to be in heaven... and the dessert uffff from another planet! I almost couldn't belive it was all vegan! I will definitely come back đ
The sushi rolls here are pretty great and creative which I appreciate. We tried to get a variety of rolls, but I will says that all the flavors started to blend together a bit and nothing really stood out as spectacular or particularly unique. I still like it though and they go way above and beyond a typical veggie sushi that Iâm used to.
This is the #1 vegan sushi spot. Really creative rolls and sauces, and so many things that you canât find vegan anywhere else!!! The last couple times we went, the owner was so excited to talk about the rolls and new fish alternatives they were getting in soon. The ornate presentation makes every visit feel like a special occasion, but the price is reasonable so that any day can be a celebration. This place is truly the definition of food thatâs made with love.
My go to! The server Raymar is so friendly- makes the experience that much better. I took a meat-eating family member there and they enjoyed it too!
Very creative dishes for every taste. Spicy to not, sashimi to rolls. Great appetizers and sake to boot. Itâs a really nice and intimate spot with terrific service.
One of the tastiest Sushis I've had! Highly recommend the Red Dragon!

Best vegan sushi in WA ! I love coming here so much, that I am a regular at this point! I went here for my birthday and made a reservation, the staff was amazing and treated me like a queen. The food is so flavorful that my non vegan friends loved it. the staff is just as great ! Amazing flavors with great textures in the sushi . Donât forget dessert ! Their vegan cheesecake is amazing & tastes better every time .
This is the third time my husband and I have come here, and there will be more for sure! Everything is delicious and the service is excellent. My favorite rolls are: red dragon, queen Anne, and bliss! If you are a fan of very VERY spicy food, try the ring of fire, it will anesthetize your mouth đ but if you are not, then this is not for you (it contains habanero)! My husband almost ate all my rolls in the attempt to remove the spiciness from his mouth đ I believe the cheesecakes are always changing, I remember ordering something with chocolate last time. This time, the options were strawberry, ube and matcha. I tried the ube one and it was good!

Had a lovely dinner and overall experience at the Sushi Samurai. The place is small so would recommend making a reservation. We dined on a Sunday at 7pm and all the booths were full; the tables closer to the sushi station weren't as occupied, but honestly those tables didn't seem as comfortable - they were pretty close together.
The server (didn't catch his name) was incredibly friendly and attentive - he was super thoughtful as he brought a huge, extra amount of ginger after he noticed we quickly ate up what they had given us when we sat down.
Between two of us, we ordered the spicy edamame and 5 rolls (I don't recall the names of all of them - the most memorable were the crunchy salmon and ring of fire, though all were good). We couldn't decide between the two cheesecakes so we ordered them both! They were both delicious, with a slight edge towards the ube. We also ordered hot sake.
Though not vegan, I do enjoy trying new and creative twists on food and Sushi Samurai did not disappoint! Will definitely go back.

We tried 6 different things in a group and canât single out one thing to recommend. The nigiri, crunchy rolls, mock tuna, and tofu katsu were all incredible. Service was wonderful and kind.
I kicked myself the last time I got sushi from somewhere else, like what was I thinking?! This time I got a free Cupid Roll bc I follow them on IG + I was hella skeptical about the strawberry on top, but I was wrong! It was my favorite of the 3. The spiciness of the Ring of Fire drowned out the flavor + my partner had to get up from the table + walk it off, lol. I enjoyed the Red Dragon, but I wonât get it again. I recommend eating the flower âLady + the Trampâ style if youâre on a date. I do wish theyâd handle takeout containers more gingerly (har har) so the sauces donât get stuck to the lid, but oh well, I can smear it back on. Updated from previous review on 2025-02-14
âââââ Sushi Samurai is an absolute gem! Their sushi is incredibly creative, delicious, and bursting with flavorâperfect for anyone, whether you're vegan, vegetarian, plant-based, or just curious to try something new. Their vegan sushi options are some of the best Iâve ever had, proving that you donât need fish to enjoy high-quality, mouthwatering sushi. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the ideal spot for a romantic date or a fun meetup with friends. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring that every visit is an amazing experience. If you're looking for a sushi spot thatâs thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and consistently delicious, Sushi Samurai will never disappoint. Highly recommend! Remember that peace starts on your plate, save the ocean the planet and remember that fish are friends, not food. Also, their desserts are on pointtttt, the best cheesecakes I've had in a long time. And they do take out platters too! Give it a try, and you will be amazed. Ps: if you like spicy, try the Ring of Fire. It always makes me go to another dimension.
Food is great. I am a regular visitor and the diner in experience is normally great. My last visit, Staff was a bit careless. Got my takeout order and there was no ginger or wasabi or chopsticks or soy sauce or napkins in the box/bag. See images. Ruined the mood. Hopefully they are careful next time!
