WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!!
This, in my opinion, is the best sushi restaurant in Seattle. Everything single dish, every single sushi, was perfect. It was clear how much details they put in, to making this an excellent culinary experience.
From the texture of the sushi, the flavor of the fish, the sushi rice, the amount of seasoning and wasabi; the chefs played various combinations that really harmonized and highlighted each ingredients.
We got the Omakasei with pairings. It was so good that even though we were full, we added 2 additionals sushi at the end of the night.
I regret not trying this place sooner.

Once we can agree that Seattle has amazing seafood, we can agree that calling Sushi Suzuki the best Omakase in Seattle is pretty amazing. The chef is so incredibly humble, approachable and as delightful as his food. The service is unbelievably attentive with Masa being our favorite guy. The dining experience is literally priceless. Please treat yourself to a dinner here. We have dined here multiple times and have left every single time with a natural food high. Did a mention they make their own picked ginger??

My favorite omakase in the area! Chef Suzuki adds his own personal touch, which truly makes this omakase stand out above the rest.

Phenomenal sushi here, hitting the right balance of simple pieces that let the ingredients shine punctuated with complex creative dishes that delight the palate. Service similarly strikes the right balance of friendliness and professionalism. Wonderful evening, would not hesitate to return. Bar seats are a must for the full experience.

This spot is a solid option if you are looking for a high-end omakase experience in Seattle. The service and atmosphere are on point; the staff is attentive, and the chefs do a great job with the performance aspect - showing off fresh ingredients (like the kuruma shrimp, well-aged fatty chutoro and otoro) and providing detailed explanations.
That said, I think a few adjustments in the kitchen are needed to take this place to the next level, especially to justify the $200 price point. I consistently noticed some inconsistency in the seasoning of the kitchen dishes throughout my visits. Additionally, the sushi was often prepared in batches, which caused the rice to cool down too much before it reached the plate - sometimes sitting out for several minutes while the chef chatted with guests. Consequently, the neta and shari were not always served at the optimal temperature to fully maximize the flavor.
I also felt the toppings were often overpowering, often masking the delicate flavor of the fish.
Ultimately, a number of pieces were a 'miss' due to temperature, aging, balance, or cook time. At a fine dining omakase like Suzuki, I would expect a much higher 'hit' rate.
It’s a nice restaurant with great service, but with tighter focus in the food itself, it would be top-tier.

Just had a birthday dinner here last night and it was absolutely fantastic. The fish was incredibly fresh and high-quality, the chefs were friendly and engaging, and the staff was so warm and welcoming. An overall super impressive meal and experience — expensive, yes, but absolutely worth it.

A lot of misses for me from Sushi Suzuki.
While I understand that apprentices need a chance to shine, I’d expect Suzuki-san to prepare at least some sushi. Instead he was in the back for the majority of the time and only came out at the end because I’d asked about him.
The sushi was not the freshest I’ve had and the yakumi was very inauthentic. For example, there was a smoked salmon with a strong onion yakumi. I want to taste the fish - why is the fish getting overpowered?
There are definitely better options in the city, especially at this price.
❤️🔥🍣🐟❤️🔥My husband and I are sushi lovers through and through, definitely team seafood over meat!
Our omakase experience at Suzuki was absolutely incredible. Of course, the food was amazing, but what made it truly special was the entire experience, from the service to the atmosphere.
Everyone who served us, including the chefs, was so kind, warm, and genuinely happy to be there. You could really feel the positive energy and strong bond among the staff, which made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable.
Each dish was beautifully presented and came with thoughtful explanations, adding so much depth to the meal. It was a feast not just for the taste buds, but also for the eyes and ears. The ambiance was simply perfect.
Without a doubt, it was the best birthday dinner I’ve ever had.
Thank you😍❣️❣️

Just a few photos here to capture what was a really special dinner experience. This is truly a hidden gem in Seattle! Incredible sushi, friendly and personable service, and a really intimate and welcoming atmosphere with the small number of guests per seating. Highly recommend!
We finally tried Sushi Suzuki after so many rave reviews from friends. “It’s in the neighborhood,” we said. “We might as well try it once.”
Well, that was two months ago and we’ve now been three times. To say this is the best sushi experience in Seattle is a gross understatement. It’s certainly the best restaurant in Seattle irrespective of cuisine. It might be the best Sushi place in America.
The food is immaculate (obviously). The chefs are true artists. Watching them work is half the fun, so a seat at the bar is a must. Everything is done deliberately and with precision… even the way they clean their workspaces between courses is fascinating. Worth noting is that despite their skill and focus, they're completely approachable and happy to explain the dishes and engage in conversation. And never with any pretension. The same goes for the waitstaff who are incredibly professional and attentive without being intrusive. Whether you're looking to nerd-out on the culinary details or just enjoy a quiet evening with your party, they strike the perfect balance.
Simply put, this is the best sushi experience you’ll find outside of Japan.
Trust me, you will not be disappointed! I've been blessed enough to have tried some of the best spots throughout the US and a few in Japan. Suzuki can hold their own with all of them. I drive over an hour about once a month to dine here. Fish quality is unsurpassed and the simple garnish they use is of the utmost quality and flavor to match the fish (make sure to try their wasabi stem preparation). Distinct highlights are their Salmon, Nodoguro (when available), Chu-Toro with the Wasabi stem, and their Akami. You can always tell the quality of a sushi restaurant by their Akami. We always recieve friendly service as well! A must try if you are in the Seattle area!
Overpriced. The food and service at Sushi Suzuki are quite nice: the experience is fun and the food is delicious and satiating. The staff is friendly and the chefs do a great job. However, at a cost of $325 for a single seat and a drink pairing, it is not worth the experience, in my opinion. I have been to Michelin star restaurants and similar Omakase restaurants in Hell's Kitchen that are cheaper, and fully deserving of their status. With the addition of a mandatory 20% gratuity/service charge (equally applied to any alcohol), the now $390 price point (plus tax) is too inflated for this Seattle restaurant.
Had a great experience. Thank you Chef and Chef!
