I had a great experience at this sushi spot! The fish was incredibly fresh — you can really taste the quality in every bite. The rolls were beautifully made and full of flavor. On top of that, the service was excellent. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend if you’re looking for fresh sushi and great service!

Really impressed with this sushi spot! The sushi was super fresh and full of flavor — you can tell they care about quality. The staff were all really friendly and made us feel welcome right away. Service was quick, and everyone was super nice without being over the top. Just a chill, good vibe overall. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re into sushi. I’ll for sure be coming back!

Great food and great service! Owners were so lovely. Good portions for a reasonable price. Definitely the best service in Seattle :) We got the sushi and sashimi omakase, cherry blossom roll, tempura app, and takoyaki. All were excellent! Will absolutely be back.

Fabulous new owners, and family affair and their pride in the restaurant sows through in their service, their food, and the restaurant as a whole. We celebrated my son's 21st birthday at Tokyo Sushi and they made us feel welcome and valued. We have been looking for a new sushi restaurant ever since Kamei's in West Seattle closed and now we have found it! Sushi Tokyo has delicious food at reasonable prices along with outstanding service.

Great food, service and environment!
We had good evening with scent of Japan thanks to our lovely hostess and skilled chef. Brings you to the way sushi is supposed to be enjoyed.
We tried the chef’s famous chirashi, the lion king rolls (on fire) , their fried gyozas that are nice and crispy (dimplings) and steak plate.
Will def. come back for more

Super friendly! Brought my son special learning chopsticks and then some different roe to sample as it was new to him.

Went inside for the first time after years of occasionally ordering delivery from them, what a lovely place! The interior is so so nice! I don’t know why but I judged from the exterior that it might be crummy inside. The chef serving me was super nice and friendly. I tried the cherry blossom and the north Seattle roll, both 10/10. Will definitely be back.

Update: we have been back 3 times and it never ceases to deliver. The sushi quality is always on point (note the excellent food rating) and they always throw in a small freebie.
We stopped in here by chance because we were in the neighborhood and are so glad we did. This is a small husband and wife owned business. They were both super sweet and you can tell what pride the husband/chef takes in preparing the sushi. Everything tasted delicious and the wife, who was serving, was super sweet and playful. We will definitely be back!

You know your favorite sushi joint that's always packed and never has a table? Well folks, this place is not that--YET! But given the high quality and presentation of their sushi, fantastic service, and super amicable owners, they'll be that restaurant soon. It's also quite reasonably priced; we usually order a table full of food for a party of three (including a very hungry teenager), and it's around $80.We've been half a dozen times since the new owners took over, and highly recommend Sushi Tokyo if you're looking for great sushi in the Roosevelt neighborhood. (To be honest, I think the food is so good that I'd probably hop on the light rail to try it out if I lived in a different neighborhood. It's a quick walk from the Roosevelt Station.)

Amazing service and fun plating (check out the shark). Newer restaurant and wonderful owner. No drinks except soft beverage right now (might be different when you’re reading this). The Udon soup is way too tasty. Yellowtail green onion roll was so fresh and yummy. And the tempura shrimp/sweet potatoes were fantastic. 10/10

Wonderful new place in Roosevelt - everything was so delectable; the only disappointment was the tea (i thought it was going to be loose leaf but it was just Twinings). I'm unable to eat pork & have been on the hunt for chicken potstickers since I got here in December and I was overjoyed & totally blown away by their chicken gyoza, it is the most authentic I have eaten since I was a kid visiting Japan 🥰 Must try if you are in the neighborhood! They'll have their liquor license when they officially open in February (we lucked out and went in during their soft open). Without a doubt, the BEST ambience of any restaurant I've been to - 100% - because of the music! The surround system is incredible, the music choices were just right + the sound was set *perfectly* so that you could enjoy it while still being able to have a conversation at your table (and most importantly, without hearing every word of the table next to you). I seriously wish every dining experience could have that!

Amazing experience! We had 5 basic rolls~ so delicious, the flavors were fresh and distinctive, the rolls were PACKED. The miso soup was great, I don’t love mushrooms but something about that soup made me wanna fiend for more. The Blueberry-Lavender tea was so tasty and combined with the wonderfully entertaining service truly made for an excellent night out. The mochi we were served was also so divine, we had chocolate and matcha, they were so creamy and the dough was the perfect texture. Even the fruit accents on the dishes were juicy and fresh! Our bill came to about $70+ and imho it was definitely worth it, I can’t wait to go back!

Very very good! The restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere, and very tasty sushi rolls. They are one of the only places I've found that offers chicken or veggies potstickers. The owners run the restaurant themselves, which is always a plus. I highly recommend the cherry blossom roll.
