The food did not disappoint and the staff were lovely, making us feel right at home even for a first visit. We had lunch for two with crackling rice soup, egg rolls, sweet sour pork and Mongolian beef. The soup was light and with good quality ingredients, the egg rolls had a unique wrapping but filling was a mush worth skipping, the pork was very good despite a few cuts of poor quality meat, the beef was our favorite perfectly seasoned and cooked. I wouldn't come back though only because the cost - $100 for lunch for two. Okay for a special occasion but that's white table cloth fine dining not casual Chinese lunch.

I was looking for traditional Chinese special fried rice close to my work. I googled for near by me and found this place. It was just OK, nothing to write home about. It had shrimp, barbecued pork, and some type of sausage. The rice didn't have much flavor and the meats were very dry, garnished with green onion. I only ate half of my to go order in my truck and I drove home disappointed sad to say. I'm this area the Asian food is usually very tasty and good quality. Maybe other dishes are better, but I needed something to go.

Great experience visiting the restaurant with Bruce Lee's table. Located in the Chinatown of Seattle the restaurant has authentic look. Service was professional and ambience pleasant. Good food. Welcoming with Hot Tea is a great touch. Enjoyed the food and visit.

My daughter and I went here today for lunch and we were so impressed. The atmosphere was nice and clean. They sat us and we immediately had hot tea at the table. There are so many delicious options on the menu that everyone will find something perfect for them. The food was FANTASTIC. It was easily the best Chinese food I have ever had. If lived closer, I would eat there a couple times a week without a doubt. We shared veggie egg rolls, I had the cashew nut chicken and my daughter had the chicken chow mein with crispy noodles. The ingredients were so fresh and bright. It was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The staff was kind. We had a great conversation with the friendliest man who may have been the owner.
Seriously, go to Tai Tung. You will be so happy you did!

Absolutely love this place! The food here is delicious, prob my fav Chinese food place in Seattle now!! The speciality fried rice is soooo good! It's rly cozy inside and staff are nice. Used to be Bruce Lee's go-to spot and there's some memoribilia inside, including where his favorite booth used to be. Will 100% be back!

We ordered takeout today to eat with my parents. This restaurant has long been a part of our family’s history—my dad has been eating here since the 1940s—so our expectations were high. Unfortunately, this visit fell short.
The fried chicken wings were undercooked, with flabby skin instead of being crispy. The vegetables were overcooked and soggy, and the sweet-and-sour dish had meat that was dry and overcooked. We also did not receive good customer service when placing our takeout order.
Given the nostalgia and long-standing reputation of this place, this experience was especially disappointing. Based on the food quality and service, we will not be returning.

1/9/26: We ordered Mongolian Beef and wonton soup to dine in. The beef was incredibly tender & well seasoned-delightful. The soup was decent, but we yearned for the broth to be a bit more flavorful. The great disappointment came with the orders we placed to go: house special fried rice, barbecue pork, and house special chow mein. The pork was very fatty, the rice was dull and ordinary, and the chow mein was anything but special - flavorless with thick gooey sauce. We’ll go back to Kau Kau next time for flavorful food and lower prices. 😢

I didn't like it overall. The Mongolian beef was good but everything else was bad.

$45 for 2 orders of fried prawns only. I won't be back
Tai Tung gets a lot of hype in the tourist guides but a lot of that must be due to the history rather than the food, the food was very typical. Service was good and prices were reasonable, but it really was the same food we can get at restaurants at home, nothing spectacular or new to us.
