Girl with the fringe was incredibly rude on multiple occasions. Rolled her eyes and told us “this wasn’t a full service restaurant” after we asked about a high chair. Food was also pretty unimpressive (par for the course in Seattle to be fair).

Kid-friendliness: don’t bring a kid here, they were hostile towards us.

I have t been here in a long time and wasn’t sure if they still had vegan options. They do! Although I did not see tacos. Currently for lunch they have a vegan kale salad and a vegan falafel wrap you can get with a side salad (and a couple options for breakfast as well). The wrap was pretty good. The hummus had a little bit of a kick that I really enjoyed. The vinaigrette also had a little spice as well. I will definitely be back to try more things. The americano I got was also excellent. Super awesome space with great food and drinks connected to their super awesome bike shop. I love the outdoor seating in the courtyard as well. I always feel welcome here which can be rare for coffee spots and bike shops.

Technically the name for this place is Tailwind Cafe, within Good Weather Bicycle Shop. The menu here has gone through a few incarnations, so whatever you have liked or disliked about it may or may not still exist, and as far as I can tell the website menu is not updated. The weekend tofu tacos are gone, as are the weekday bowls they used to have. Currently for vegans there are a couple lunch sandwiches, a salad, and a breakfast beyond sandwich option--plus the usual suspects of avo toast, vegetarian options with cheese subtracted, etc. One twofer option in the pastry counter serves both gluten free and vegans. Overall I would describe the quality as very high, though nothing too surprising. Quantity is slightly on the lower side--you will not have anything left over. The breakfast sammy is damn good but, I think due to a microwave component, has occasionally come a bit sodden or cold on the inside. TIPS NOT ACCEPTED. Amazing. This is one of the lovelier spots on capitol hill for lunch, and the proprietors here are outrageously nice people. It has a lovely outdoor component Updated from previous review on 2024-05-01

Always a nice treat to pop in here for a Sammy and coffee! I appreciate they have options for us who can't eat cheese

Awesome local spot with great coffee, cocktails, baked goods, and full meals. They have a beautiful outdoor patio area for soaking in the sun, meeting up with friends, and coworking. The team is friendly and full of locals + cyclists.
