Solid neighborhood spot, classic atmosphere. We enjoyed the drinks and the ambiance. However, the service pacing was off; we felt very hurried to leave after only 90 minutes. Wish that part was better.
It's a neighborhood tavern, and it's a place to get beer, or if you're alone and lonely to feel like you're among people. For my taste ‐ loud, loud, loud. I was there with four people and we were close together and I could barely here them for all the ruckus. One of my friend is a regular at this tavern, perhaps at 5pm it's not as loud as it was at eight. There was no music, and the place is not big, it's just people are loud.
Targy's is a gem. Neighborhood dive bar with plenty of character and plenty of characters. They've got great service, plenty of craft beers on tap, and every liquor bottle known to man. For entertainment there's also a couple of pool tables, dart boards and a jukebox. Everything you need right in your neighborhood.
