A small, quaint spot in cap hill with a cool vibe. It is a very popular place and there were many people waiting outside to get a table. We started with the spring rolls and side Lao sausage. Rolls were good with a nice dipping sauce and the sausage was spicy with tons of flavor. We also shared chicken Laap, a lettuce wrap dish. It was disappointing. The Phad Lao with chicken was really good with yummy rice noddles, cabbage in a fish sauce. The Jaew Tomato side sauce was so good....
I can only speak to my food delivery through Grubhub (my order was fulfilled quickly), but the burger was incredible! Perfect balance of flavor. I understand that the papaya salad is “made funky” per their menu. I love papaya salad and decided to try. It definitely is a little more fish sauce-y which generally I don’t mind because I like fish sauce, but it does lose that sweetness I love in a more “traditional” papaya salad. I’m sure many will enjoy it, though.
Great, friendly service. Got the burger and it didn’t disappoint. Loved the provolone cheese and the pickled red onions. Refreshing to get a smash burger that’s doing something a little different.
