We had happy hour at Tavern Law and then made our way up to Needle and Thread. It was a wonderful experience. I made reservations at 6:45 for Needle and Thread so the timing worked out great. The food was delicious and the drink experience at Needle and Thread was incredible. They don't have a menu so they make your cocktail based on what you like to drink/vibe you're looking for. We appreciated having our food brought up when we weren't finished eating it. The service was awesome. I'd highly recommend!

I’ve really tried to make this place a regular spot, especially since my partner and I live right above it. Unfortunately, the last 4–5 times we’ve visited, the staff has been consistently unfriendly and dismissive. Although they advertise that they close at midnight, it seems like every time we come in—whether it’s 11:30, 11:15, or even 11:00—they’ve already decided to stop serving for the night, without explanation, and make us feel like an inconvenience for even walking in.
Most recently, we were told the bar was “standing room only,” yet when we asked to stand next to an open table that simply didn’t have chairs, we were refused and told to wait outside in the rain so the space wouldn’t feel “too crowded.”
We’ve given this place multiple chances to improve, but each visit has led to disappointment.

I booked this experience 6 days in advance and did a lot of research to decide where to go as it was a special evening celebrating both my birthday and our wedding anniversary. The day before the reservation I was called and told that they had accidentally booked an event and I would have to move my reservation or come for a “quick drink only” making sure to leave by 7:30pm. My reservation was for 6:45pm. I was left feeling uncertain about how this would be and honestly very disappointed. The server was kind and friendly and we appreciated her hype. However, we felt like we couldn't relax. I would be willing to go back and try it again just not on a special occasion night. My husband had to finish work early and rush to get ready so we could accommodate this venue and not the other way around, as it should be. We weren't offered any sort of gesture of apology at all either. We felt unappreciated and more like a burden. Very strange attempt at customer service, especially on a celebration night for your guests.

Superb, magnificent, and excellent! Tavern Law is a true Seattle gem — cozy speakeasy vibes, incredible cocktails, and bartenders who make you feel like an old friend. Every drink is crafted to perfection. A must-visit for anyone who loves great drinks and great energy!
Such a great unique spot- we wish we had this back home! All servers clearly love their job and so much thought was put into everything and every part of our experience from the moment we walked in.

Dana at the speakeasy was so helpful! She really helped figure out the flavors of drinks we like and was so kind. The drinks were a hit! I am not huge into cocktails but I was so impressed with both rounds of drinks!

The creativity of making a cocktail based on your tastes is wonderful. The server was great about asking as many questions to get each of our tastes dialed in, to create something delicious and unique. Changing one ingredient enhanced the next cocktail. The food was yummy, the balsamic glaze on the tomatoes was divine. The Mac n cheese needed some salt in the pasta itself but very creamy. Wonderful service.

Needle & Thread was so lovely. The service was excellent. The bespoke cocktails were my favorite. The bread pudding was phenomenal. The only thing I would recommend is bringing out each persons dish at the same time. I got mine a lot sooner than my partner.
