Ordered the pad thai, shrimp thai fried rice, thai tea (tradional, yummy), and green tea (tastes like matcha/jasmine - very sweet). The cook made the dishes right in front of us (food and a show), high fire, fresh ingredients, the charing made the food even tastier. Definitely going back.
The server/the cook/and cashier were busy but each did check on us and what we may need.
Its a bit small/cozy inside but patrons can easily carry a conversation without yelling at each other.

Been there 2 years ago and couldn’t make it back till yesterday. The prices have gone up and the portions have gone down. I don’t mind paying more but getting less and paying more is not worth it. Place is busy with a cook su chef a waiter and the owner. Cook is busy cooking 4 dishes at a time and I got my food burnt and had egg shells in it. I won’t be going back again. Everyone is overworking to get you in and out. I get better service and pay the same price at other restaurants that will give you free water. My wife needed more napkins and was yell by the owner not to touch it and then told to only get 1. Not coming back again.

The food here is great, and the atmosphere is nice since you can see your food being cooked right on the spot by their chef which I’m incredibly impressed by. Only downside is the need to go by an ATM beforehand to get cash but otherwise the place is great, although a little small but the line isn’t slow.

This is an amazing little place. It is a true hole in the wall - nothing fancy - maybe a little rough. The food is fantastic! It is a little on the hot side - we did 1 star and it was similar to a 3 star at other restaurants.
We had the veggie stir fry with special Thai sauce (add tofu)- amazing. The Thai salad is an experience with the Lays chips and hot peanut sauce. The sticky rice mango - out of this world.
Not great for large groups. CASH only.

Food was nice in terms of fresh out of the kitchen to your table. This place takes cash only, however the service was a bit off. The servers didn’t seem to care too much if you were ready to order or even if you were ready to check-out. With the place being smaller and hot due to the kitchen, I was hoping to get a cup of water but it seems they only sold water bottles so you’d have to purchase. There was two of us and no ask to see if we would like sharing plates or anything too.

Thai Tom has been famous since shortly after it opened in the 90s for serving fast, delicious and affordable Thai food. I remember long lines that would move relatively quickly as customers scarfed down their tasty meal and ran off to class. The restaurant is none of these things anymore. I saw a family wait over 30 minutes to get their dish, they were there before we arrived, and waited another 10+ mins for their food after we had ordered and already started to eat. The food? They charred our phad Thai, their specialty, so most of it tasted burnt and bitter. The price? Ridiculous. If you look at the recent menu pics you'll see the price went up several times already in 2025. It was about a dollar more when we arrived. And for that price you'll get a sticky table or counter seat, no AC, no water (unless you pay for a bottle) and the service level of a hawker stand. All the food used to be perfectly cooked by an older guy who might have been the owner, that is no longer the case either. Not worth your money anymore.

I got there at 11:30 when they said they were opening but it wasn’t for another 10 minutes. They didn’t list the prices so I just got the pad thai with shrimps. Turns out shrimp was +$1.25 and they gave me only 5. Pad thai was 17.5 in total and portions were so small. Would not go back. And they only accept cash.
