Went here for the first time with a friend tonight and while the food was fine, the customer service was one of the worst I’ve experienced. When we got our bill, we were overcharged and when we requested it be fixed, we were overcharged again for an item that we didn’t order, for a price that wasn’t listed anywhere on the menu.During this, the lady was yelling at another employee and also yelling at us. Astoundingly rude and inappropriate. Ultimately we were forced to pay for something we didn’t order. Won’t be coming back.

This place is just spectacularly bad. Ordered four dishes and all of them tasted like... just really really bad. Soggy noodles, really bland and oily, just absoultely no flavor. Couldn't eat it beyond the first couple bites. Honestly don't understand how this place is staying open. Felt compelled to write the review to warn people - it was that bad. :(

Amazing foods and portions. Highly recommend this place. Foods can be spicy if not specified so make sure you ask about it when ordering.

ngl this is actually the BEST Korean restaurant I’ve ever been to!!! Reasonable price, very friendly service. Amazing taste of food. I ordered a combo with tofu&seafood soup and some spicy pork. It was so good. Definitely will visit again!

I stumbled on this place after the restaurant I wanted to eat at was closed on Memorial Day. I had bibimbap in a hot stone bowl. It rocked! I was very pleased with all the banchan, too.

The staff (a lady) was quite rude to customers. I was so shocked. The portion is generous but the taste is bad compared to other Korean restaurants nearby. For example, the beef bulgogi was cold. It was simply placed on the iron plate. Also, the kimchi side dish was too sour.

Saw the reviews and decide to try them out. The front lady had no idea what kind of dishes they have. This place was a switch and bait. Was told they have the fish, and can get free extra side. but upon arriving after 30 minutes as requested, there was no fish, and was charged extra for the side. also requested to speak to the owner, but she was hiding and refused to speak to me. There was no customer service at all. The place was dirty and the unfinished food from the previous customers were on almost every table. It was so dirty that I would not be coming back again. The food was terrible, the spicy pork was so salty that they must have put a whole bottle of salt in it. The chicken was so cold I had to put it in the microwave to warm it up. Would not recommend anyone to come here.

Worst korean restaurant. All staff are rude and they serve cold and flavorless food. I understand that they are old people but in order to keep a customer, they should atleast be friendly. The side dishes taste nothing and just like any other review, it is soaked in a bunch of oil. Do not come, its not worth your money. They will just make you uncomfortable and treat you with no respect.

Sadly this place is maybe the worst Korean restaurant I've been to, and I've been to a ton. The stone pot rice was sitting in a thick layer of oil :( and we thought the tofu soup was too watery and flavorless. I didn't like any of the banchan side dishes which was a shame. We may have gone on an off day, but I think this place only survived because of the location near the university. You're better off skipping this spot and heading to Kimchi House in Ballard for a good Korean meal.

The food here is REALLY good but their customer service is a little lacking. I ordered Ubereats here a few days ago and they never got the order on their end, but still ended up making it for me after some troublesome explanation. Also one day they randomly started not accepting Amex anymore for some reason, so I was scrambling to pay when I dined in and all I had were Amex cards. If you’re wary of all these, I highly recommend ordering from here, the food is tasty, hot, comes out pretty quick, and the guy staff (not sure about his name) was very friendly to me and my friend!

One of my favorite Korean restaurants near the UW campus. The tofu soup and the pork bulgogi were seasoned and flavored expertly and I was given several side dishes to enjoy. A great place to come get food after classes or to meet up with someone and connect.

Definite a great place to stop by for a Korean fix! Definitely recommend the Silk Tofu soup for a warm getaway on a cold rainy day.

This classic Korean restaurant is so special! I have tasted Korean food from almost every restaurant in New York and Seattle and I find this restaurant to be the best and most well rounded. When you come to this restaurant you are made to feel like family. I went today and ordered both Jjajangmyeon (noodle with bean sauce) and seafood Soondubu (seafood tofu soup) and enjoyed it immensely. They also give ALL the classic small dish appetizers complementary to everyone before your ordered meal: kimchi, cucumber kimchi, bean sprouts, fish cakes, scallion pancakes, and potatoes. This hidden gem deserves big attention.

University District is where we like to pick up Korean food and Alley is one of the restaurants we've tried. They have great veggie silk tofu soup and veggie dumpling silk tofu soup. Their tofu jap chae and kimchee fried rice with tofu are also good. The restaurant can get busy during meal times and our call in orders have taken longer than expected to be ready. They've also made a mistake on our vegetarian dishes (added pork to our veggie dumpling tofu soup but they remade it). Despite this, we will still go back because the food is good. It's not that easy to find Korean restaurants with lots of vegetarian options so we appreciate The Alley.
