Neighborhood pub with good food and friendly servers. I come here every so often to watch a ballgame. Often enough that I've become a "Mug Club Member," which entitles me to a special mug, discount pours, and envious looks from second-class bar patrons. The food is usually good, but can vary in quality from night to night. It's a good place if you're social - You're guaranteed to strike up good conversation with the regulars. My only complaint is...
Usually visit The Attic for happy hour with its friendly service, delightful drinks, and tasty food. The salmon sandwich is delicious as is the chili. Decided to try brunch on Sunday morning. At the suggestion of our server Dusty we ordered the Crab Benedict. It was one of the best in the city. The hollandaise sauce was a thing of beauty, luscious yet light. Perfectly poached eggs and seasoned potatoes rounded out a great meal.
Same dive bar vibe but without the dust as before. However, somehow the food in the original was better. Ordered the bacon bleu burger. Came out dry and bland. Pricey for quality of the food. Expected a level up from the new owner, not just elevated pricing. Service was apathetic and unimpressive at the bar. At least the original Attic crew had some character even if it was off color.
