Everything was excellent. Highlights were the Sichuan Peppercorn Shrimp and the Baby Back Ribs with butternut squash and poached pear. It fell off the bone. Yum.
The host on the evening of 11/22 was absolutely terrible - No acknowledgement of having seen me, I was early to my reservation and I asked if I could sit at the bar to have a drink while I waited, she said No, I pointed out space at the bar and without looking, she said No, I asked if I could wait somewhere inside, she said No. She provided no alternative and no apology either and the restaurant was not full at all. The menu is extremely limited and unflexible if one has dietary restrictions and they won't make any modifications to the dish, unless it is omitting a sauce that already comes on the side, therefore the menu is very unflexible. The server wasn't attentive, my friend ordered a 2nd drink and she didn't ask me if I wanted another one when we had to flag her down to order the drink or when she came back with it. She didn't check in with us after that. There was someone asking tables how their meals are, he skipped us. The buzzer/runner was extremely kind though. The place is beautiful but the service or food are not worth it. I would not recommend it until they make changes to their service. Just walk to Chan!
We would recommend making reservations early, as the tables fill up quickly, especially if there is a show happening at the Paramount. From arrival to leaving, the experience was great. The ribs were exceptional as was the flat iron steak. Can't wait to go back!
The wait staff were attentive and personable and did a great job. The ambience is fun, and I like the space. Our cocktails were expensive but good. The location for a show at the Paramount is perfect. The food, however, is just OK. Not bad at all, but nothing really stood out. The pork ragu pasta was much better than the forgettable chicken parmesan. The taleggio cheese dip was fine, but there wasn't really enough for the focaccia that came with it. All in all, an OK place for a meal before a show, but maybe better for just sitting at the bar for a cocktail.
We had the ribs. They were far from tender. Served with potatoes and mustard sauce, the potatoes were so done that they would have been better. Mashed. And the mustard was quite overwhelming. Pretty marginal for the price.
First time there. Lively atmosphere, great service. Great cocktails, kudos to whoever mixed my manhattan. Steak was perfect, wine selected by server was perfect match. Ideal location for the Paramount theater too!
Wow! Had no idea this was a Tom Douglas restaurant until I saw Coconut Cream Pie on the menu. This did not disappoint. Every item was spot on from cocktails to appetizers, to entrees to dessert. Great vibe, excellent service and a perfect spot before a show at the Paramount. They even had some specialty cocktails as a nod to the current show. We will go back!!
Enjoyed our visit to The Carlile Room! Great atmosphere, good space between tables so that noise level was moderate. Very attentive server. Definitely recommend.
Fabulous location to head to the Paramount! The food was excellent in preparation , flavor and presentation. Attentive service . I would return
Everything about our experience was phenomenal. It was exactly what we were hoping for. My husband, son and I came in town for Brandi Carlile's concert. We could not get in on the opening night of the show for the special menu. We came back the next day with a reservation and they still gave us the special menu.. Our server and the manager on duty were very engaging. They even gave my son one of the posters of Brandi. We will definitely be going back. The experience was out of this park and the food was perfection

The pre fix menu was divine and getting to hang with Brandi Carlile band was unreal. Thanks for not rushing us out of there. It was a dream come true!
This was an amazingly delicious meal with incredible staff even on what was probably their busiest night of the year. Don't miss the Carlile Room.
This was our first time dining at the Carlile, and likely our last. Unfortunately the only nice things I have to say are about the Salmon Caesar (it was delicious, $38 but delicious) and the bacon burger we ordered. The baked cheese...for $20+, received 2 bites. I was actually shocked when it met the table. I don't eat much, and even for me this was bad. Not even enough for one triangle of the focaccia served with it. The chocolate chip cookie had the flavor of a 3 day old cafe cookie that had been heated in a microwave and unfortunately it arrived warm for 10 seconds then hardened to inedible. The date cake was severely overrun by rum that you couldn't taste any other elements of the cake or nibble of plated, melted ice cream. Our server was very sweet, but the service itself is extremely slow. The restaurant was not very busy at the time we went, but a 20 min wait for our first cocktails is a bit much. Overall, our server did her best but the food...no. I am still particularly upset about the baked cheese, especially for its price. 4 grapes and less than a serving spoon of cheese in a giant metal bowl. This was low key kind of insulting. But..The way I see it, we have to try new places in order to realize that not all restaurants are great, they just exist.
As always, dinner at the Carlile Room was amazing! The food was delicious, the service was fantastic and the vibe was super fun! Ben and his team do an incredible job. Don't miss out on dining here!
Our order was taken promptly. Our server made some helpful suggestions in response to our questions. Our food came out in a timely manner. We all thought our individual meals were excellent and we LOVED our server!! Great place to eat before the Paramount show!!
