The Comfort Zone Restaurant

The catfish, fried pork chops, greens, Mac and cheese, and the sauce for the catfish were terrific! 10/10 recommend. I didn’t like the cabbage, sweet potatoes, red beans and rice since it wasn’t seasoned to MY LIKING. Oh, and the staff had anamzing customer service.

As a self-proclaimed chicken connoisseur, I’m usually skeptical when ordering chicken from a new restaurant. I don’t like just anyone’s chicken, so I went in cautiously with their six-piece chicken wings.

Let me start by saying—they serve actual chicken wings, not drumettes. And the seasoning? It might just give my own recipe a run for its money. The flavor was spot-on, not too overpowering and not under-seasoned. They really put their heart into this dish.

I also tried the cornbread, and let me tell you, that cornbread was flat-out disrespectful—in the best possible way.

The red beans and rice were solid as well, with everything hitting just right. Here’s the kicker: it’s been a long time since I’ve had restaurant food that I actually crave and think about after the fact. Just to be sure, I’ve ordered from Comfort Zone a few times before leaving this review, and I can confirm—they’re consistent.

The catfish and pork chops taste like granny made it. The best I’ve had in a while. We also had the beans and rice, greens, mac and cheese and hush puppies. I give them 3 stars only because I’ve grown up eating my mom’s and nothing tastes better. With that said my partner found them to be a 5 star. The food was freshly cooked. Walking in felt like I was in my aunties hot ass kitchen. That’s always a good sign, believe me. Definitely a place that touched my Soul and it’s in my list forever. Damn, that CATFISH was fire! Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. Great job you’ll.

The lady was very sweet and the atmosphere was descent, it was pretty quiet when I was there . But the food was not what i expected, all I can say is i was extremely disappointed.

Took 25 minutes for our food to come out and we were the only people there. My shrimp and grits was $23 for six shrimp and grits with no salt added whatsoever.

That amazing catfish is so good that you'll wish you could have another bite when you run out. The homemade tartar sauce and well-seasoned batter are a dream come true for foodies. As a Yelp Elite and a food snob, I can say that you will fall in love with the wings, catfish, oxtail, and Mac and cheese.

I can TASTE the LOVE in this food! And FEEL the LOVE from the people who run it! It’s like stopping by your family’s kitchen and leaving with the best bag of goodies. Comfort Zone is the perfect name for this place. I’d give it six stars if I could.

I have never written a restaurant review before but I HAD to for this place. The fried shrimp here blew me away. Juicy, crisp, and perfectly seasoned. I'm from Atlanta where fried food is an art form. This is *exactly* where need to go when I get homesick. The red beans and rice were a knockout as well. The beans were creamy and full of flavor, and the rice was fluffy with each grain distinct. My husband got the yams and I knew they would be delicious when I smelled the warm spices wafting across the table. They tasted better than they smelled. So tender. Almost velvety. To top it all off, the staff is friendly and kind. I felt truly welcome. Don't sleep on this place. I can't wait to go back!

We ordered catering for a school breakfast and had a great experience overall with Comfort Zone. Quick and easy communication when ordering, food was ready to pick up a bit earlier than our scheduled time, and food was packed for easy transportation. Everyone said the food was delicious and beautifully presented. We ordered waffles, catfish and grits, mac & cheese and a fruit platter. We used Comfort Zone last year for a similar school event and would definitely use them in the future.
