Don’t ask this place if they accept HSAs— the bartender doesn’t like jokes.

I made reservations for 4, $100, and they gave away our table to the walk-ins... They discriminated against my husband.... Terrible bar. Very disappointed.

I am going to re-up most of a review previously concerned with service attitude and vibe. I don’t like complaining about service because I understand people are working hard but still. This is a bar where performance and presentation are part of the game especially when things are premade and expensive. We were asked 3 times if we wanted any drinks as they counted down the minutes to when our reservation ended offering no suggestions. Drinks we did order were creative - cucumber agave with sesame oil was an interesting savory combination but it was almost hard to enjoy it with such apathetic waitstaff. No nibbles either. Good for one drink for the experience of a speakeasy but i wont be back because it was uncomfortable and disappointing to interact with staff.

Unique liquors and interesting knowledgeable bartenders.
TDO is a cozy, intimate space with a deep spirits library and perfectly executed cocktails.

A Scotch nerd's paradise. I've never seen a Dornoch distillery bottling in a bar in the USA (nor Thompson Bros IBs), nor Abhainn Dearg distillery. Old Springbanks (& Longrows, Hazelburns) at prices that just beg you to indulge. Half-ounce pours available, so you can try plenty. The best Scotch whisky bar in Seattle by a country mile. The four whiskies pictured cost $59 total!

The drinks were good (although all premade) but unfortunately I will only remember the terrible service. There was a desprecancy in the bill (claiming 20% tip on the deposit while charging 25%), which once I pointed out, the bartender got offended and started talking about how tech workers in Seattle are not paying restaurants and bars enough.

Loved their cocktails, they have a lot of unique mixes and flavor profiles. Everything we tried was delicious. My friends and I appreciated that the menu lists the volume of alcohol in each. Will definitely be back to try more off their menu!
The atmosphere is very intimate and small, due to the number of seats in the bar (~6?), would highly recommend making a reservation beforehand.

A bit of a hole in the wall. Walked right past it without knowing it.
What a treat this place is! Did not have a cocktail, (although they looked amazing) but a really outstanding, moderately priced spirits menu. Peter the bartender was phenomenal. Will definitely be back! Reminds me a bit of what Canon used to be.

Great service, amazing prices and moody environment :)
Amazing cocktails and fantastic service - Chelsea was not only knowledgeable about all of the cocktails on the menu and spirits on the shelves, but also made some great off-menu cocktails and well. I won't hesitate to pop in for drinks next time I'm in Seattle.

The place is boring. All the cocktails are pre-batched. Expecting more out of the experience for the exclusivity and prices they command. I don’t mind paying it, but I expect the cocktails to be made in front of me. So many other establishments nearby that are head and shoulders above this place.

The Doctor's Office: Where Big Brother is Watching (and Listening)
Sharing a recent experience that should be reviewed before visiting.
I have visited this bar half a dozen times and spent a decent amount of money here. Following my last visit, I abruptly received an email from the owner, who I've never met, banning me from returning. His reason? He claimed to have received a complaint that a conversation between my friend and I made another guest uncomfortable during my last visit, and corroborated the allegations by claiming to review security tapes and listen to my conversation from that day. This took me by surprise because the allegations about me are not true and it makes me uncomfortable to hear that the owner claimed to have listened to my conversations using "security tapes". Nobody confronted me during my time at the bar or made me aware that they were uncomfortable, so all of this feels off.
The bottom line: If you want a good cocktail, there are plenty of other great options available to you in Seattle that are also cheaper, offer a less pretentious environment, and won't treat you the way I have been treated. Additionally, the staff aren't particularly friendly and most of the cocktails on the menu are pre-made in batch with high amounts of sugar. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
