Had Fishbox at popup held at Metier Brewing Company on Cherry Street. Loved the collards and cabbage - so tasty and nourishing! The sammich made my eyes bug out, it was so good! The bread is soft, the fish perfectly crispy and flaky - not all batter like some places, mostly fish! The strawberry cheesecake is rich and good. And the fries were nice - i usually prefer crispy fries but these were flavorful. I think they use high quality ingredients or cook with a lot of love. Will def be back!

We put in an order around 9:40PM on a Thursday evening and got a text promptly saying our order was ready for the scheduled pickup time at 10PM. Delivered to our car on arrival.
For four people, we ordered:
Seafood Sampler (4.5/5): A great way to try out their different pieces. My friends liked the Hushpuppies and I really enjoyed the oysters. Shrimp Box (4/5) Met expectations. Fries are a soggier style but the small pieces remained crispy. Just enough to keep you eating them. Wild Caught Cod Box (4.5/5) Great portions, solid breading (NOT battered) and pair very well with the house tartar sauce.
We added four extra tartar sauces but ended up with four extra, so I guess we didn't really need more.
Overall, excellent late night option in the area with great combo deals that keeps it surprisingly affordable.

FANTASTIC! The sampler meal is awesome. I love that special sauce, especially with the shrimp. Ok- WHAT could possibly make fish&chips so good? Here’s the Tea: the coating is crisp. The seasoning is balanced and delicious. Though shrimp, catfish, salmon, and cod all cook for different times- each one was is PERFECTLY cooked: delicate, tender, dare I say it… MOIST! ? the hand cut fries are also good- but this is really about that fish. Order online, wait out front (its on 20th, not Spruce) and they bring it right to ya.

Might be the best fish & chips in the city. Ordered the catfish meal which includes hush puppies + fries. So many spots forget to season their fish, but this place nails it! So flavorful. Tangy tartar sauce too which really compliments the fish. Also ordered collards which were amazing. Owner was super kind.. PLUS 1st timers get a free desert (get the pecan pie bar). I will definitely be back.

Visiting from a landlocked state, I was so excited to have fish on the coast, and the sweet/spicy glazed sammich absolutely did not disappoint. The texture and flavor of the fish was top-tier and the hush puppies were great too. I don’t expect much from fries when I get delivery, so no surprises they’d be better hot from the source. But overall, a delicious experience—would recommend!
