Nice venue, recently remodeled, with a pleasant atmosphere. Food was well prepared and presented, although the selection seemed to focus more on seafood than anything else. Service was a bit slow and could have been more attentive.
My friend and I had such a wonderful time at The George. The food was amazing, the service was top tier. We appreciated our waiter, who made us feel very much welcomed and made sure we were comfortable. We would definitely come back here again.
Third time there. Can be quite loud during peak hours; go early if you prefer it quieter. Food is excellent, service is attentive, cocktails are creative and outstanding.
Elegant, old-school hotel surroundings. Excellent quality food. Service was prompt and attentive. Menu is somewhat limited., but most people would find something appealing in the collection. My Dungeness Crab omelet was fluffy and had a generous filling of crab, spinach, cheese and a few other ingredients. The fried potatoes were amazing - best I've ever tasted.. Quality doesn't come cheap. The omelet, granola with yogurt, English muffin, cup of coffee and a Diet Coke, plus tip, ran roughly $100. Not a place for every day breakfast.
Elegance place, nice ambiance, fashionable, cool, edgy dress code. Can be the place to see and to be seen. Enjoy the evening very much. I have the best birthday there!
Formal Complaint Regarding Dinner Service Experience at The George. I am writing to document my recent dinner experience at The George, which was intended to celebrate my 45th birthday. While the ambiance and design of the space are beautiful, the service and overall dining experience fell far below expectations and did not align with the restaurant's reputation or price point. After being seated, it took approximately 15 minutes for our server to acknowledge the table. Beverage orders were taken one at a time with long gaps in between. The server would take a single order, leave for an extended period, then return to take another, which continued throughout the evening. We repeatedly had to wave down staff or actively seek assistance for basic service. Although the server was polite when present, the lack of attentiveness and continuity made the experience frustrating. Earlier in the evening, while my guests and I were in the lounge area taking photos prior to dinner, a manager repeatedly walked past our group and made us feel visibly uncomfortable, without greeting or engagement. The dinner menu was difficult to navigate and poorly explained. When clarification was requested, the descriptions did not prepare us for what was served. Ultimately, none of the guests finished their meals, and no one took food home. The food was underwhelming in flavor and execution, especially given the cost and elegance of the space. When the manager later approached our table, the response was a 25 percent discount while still enforcing a mandatory 17 percent gratuity. Given the level of service and the fact that most of the food was untouched, this response felt dismissive rather than corrective. This dinner was meant to be a special occasion with close friends, many of whom had never been to The George before. We expected service and quality consistent with the reputation and pricing of your restaurant. That expectation was not met, and I would appreciate direct follow up.
Daniel was a very charismatic and helpful waiter! Made our birthday experience very memorable and fun. Food was amazing, drinks were very good worth getting two rounds, and ambiance was welcoming and charming. Daniel truly was an amazing server who made this dinner possible!
The seafood tower had some bad oysters and the staff did not care, nor did they remedy the problem. When we switched from white wine with our seafood tower to red wine with our steaks, the waiter just poured the red into our used white wine glasses. The service was consistently lackluster. Pros: The dining room is absolutely beautiful. The highlight was cocktails in the Founders Club
They no longer do the theater menu even though it is on the website. On the night we went they were also out of the beef needed for three of the dishes. Disappointed that we didnt get the experience we had been looking forward to.
Daniel was AMAZING. Such a bright personality and made the experience a 10/10. Will definitely be back.

This restaurant came up a few times in my search. So on our last night in Seattle we decided to try it. Such a pretty location. Our server was very attentive and made suggestions for us. Our Oysters were fresh and tasty. Our drinks well made and our server even made us a version of a green tea shot. Our meat was well cooked and flavorful. Overall an excellent experience here. The only draw back, bring a sweater it was a bit chilly. It was a great way to say goodbye to Seattle.
the food was terrible and over priced. Extortion. French fries were seasoned and in edible. Ratatoule was horrible. Schockingly bad for the $300 we paid to leave hungry. Food was in edible and it made not difference that I told them I needed a GF menu - there were no options!
I expected more from a highly rated hotel. The food was good, but the price couldn't be justified. Our server was slow, even though the restaurant was very quiet, and not that many guests were there. I might go back there. However, there are so many wonderful restaurants in Seattle to try. So, it will be some time till I give them a 2nd chance.
We came to Fairmont for a date night: got our massages, relaxed in the spa zone and then went for a dinner. The George features unique interior, attentive service and interesting tastes. We ordered a couple of appetizers, 2 mains and a desert and everything tasted fresh and balanced. My husband loved the sirloin stake the best and I enjoyed my wagyu burger. The tiramisu for 2 was a nice touch as the end of the dinner.
The crab toast and crab omelette were both very delicious and would order again. Hot tea was nice, but would not order again. Nice vibe for both breakfast & lunch.
