The Hart and the Hunter offers a warm welcome and quick seating, creating a delightful dining experience. Guests can enjoy excellent happy hour options with delicious snacks before choosing dinner. The restaurant has received positive feedback for its breakfast, with many noting it as one of the best they’ve ever had, especially highlighting the ham, strawberry jam, and orange marmalade with real fruit. The butter biscuits are described as out of this world, and the mushroom omelette with potatoes has also received praise. Oysters and tuna tartare remain popular highlights, although some found the clam chowder to be very thick and the grilled cheese a bit greasy. The strong farm-to-table vibe is evident in the delicious biscuits with homemade herb butter. The outdoor seating in the shade is perfect, and the coffee is highly praised, with some calling the toffee cake pudding as to die for. Service is friendly, attentive, and accommodating, making it a great spot for families and visitors. Overall, the food and ambiance surpass expectations, making it a fantastic choice for food lovers passing through or looking for a cozy meal.
