I only ever managed to get this pizza once and I’ve been chasing that dragon ever since.

We have been eating here for over a decade, back when you could dine in the cozy space. The pizzas are always on point and rank among the best Neapolitan-style pies we've had anywhere. Post-covid they transitioned to take-out only, but there are a few tables outside. Place your order in advance online and hang out at the beach. Put on a shirt, walk across the street and pick it up. Incredible. Pricing is great, too. Seattle food is generally mid and overpriced and so it's amazing to see places like the Indie still going strong. Big love.

The Independent pizzeria in Madison Park is great! We placed our order around 4:45 with a pick up time at 7:15. So if you want to eat some pizza here, you need to order early because there’s a long wait and they sell out quickly. We picked it up and it’s in a great location in Madison Lake. They have some seating outside, which is nice although the inside is a little crowded and messy. The staff is nice and friendly and the pizza is great. We ordered the cheese pizza with basil and that one could’ve used a little extra flavor as it was a bit bland. The pepperoni pizza was delicious! Overall, this is a great pizza place in a great location.

Amazing pizza, comparable to pizza I tried in Italy! They sell out every day for a reason. I'm a sucker for artichoke, so my favorite is the Roman (but all the combos I've tried were great). The staff is also pretty friendly!
Great pie and people

Pizza was good but not worth the price.
Truly a hidden gem in Seattle for real authentic Italian pizza. The base, the sauce and fresh ingredients will definitely have me coming back as much as possible. I really wish them all the success because Seattle needs more places that make real pizza.
Love this place. Been here 4 times and pizza has been great every time. They mostly do take out orders but have some outdoor seating for nice days.
This little gem is simply the best. The pizzas were fresh, hot, cooked to perfection. The toppings are generous and the value proposition is exceptional; you get what you pay for here. It is the kind of place I wish I could patronize weekly (unfortunately we are only in town for a few days this trip). We will eat here every time we return.

The Independent Pizzeria: A Gem in Madison Park
I recently discovered The Independent Pizzeria in Madison Park and was pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Their pizzas are big on flavor and quality.
A Quick Tip: Order Ahead!
Keep in mind that they only make pizzas until they run out, so it's best to order ahead. I placed my order around 4:30 PM and picked it up at 6:30 PM, and it was well worth the wait.
Exceptional Service and Delicious Pizza:
The customer service was top-notch. My son and I were greeted warmly upon arrival and the pizza was hot and fresh, straight out of the oven. The tomato sauce was flavorful and had a fresh tomato taste, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the pepperoni was some of the best I've had in a very long time. I especially enjoyed the unique sausage, which was sliced like pepperoni and had a great flavor. While the crust was a bit soft on the bottom, it was still delicious and I'd only take off a half-star for that as the outside crust was cooked perfectly.
Overall, I would highly recommend The Independent Pizzeria for a delicious and satisfying pizza experience. With its friendly service, quality ingredients, and flavorful pizzas, it's definitely worth a visit.

Some of the best pizza in Seattle. The clam pizza is a notable standout. Their ordering experience leaves much to be desired, but once you’re accustomed it’s no big deal. It’s a bit strange that I have to place an order for pizza many many hours in advance. Lucky for me, I’ve ALWAYS got pizza on the mind.

Stopped by at 430 pm on a Sunday and they were “sold out for the night”. Maybe I’m behind the times, but to my mind thats no way to run a restaurant.

The best pizza in Seattle.
Note, it operates like the Seinfeld episode ‘soup nazi’. You better know what you want, when you want it, go early, and don’t ask questions.
All part of the 5-star experience.
