this was my girl first time fine dining! I didn’t realize it was gonna be such a personal experience with just us and the chef! I have really never tried a lot of Vietnamese food out of your typical Banh mi, so I was eager to experience a taste of Vietnam! And I definitely did! It was a six course meal and everything was truly delicious! I had never had lotus root before and honestly, it was probably one of the most refreshing vegetables I think I’ve ever had!
There’s something unique about experiencing flavors and foods that you’ve never experienced culturally. Chef Anne was very kind, communicative, and informational more about each dish she made us. Will definitely be back again to try the rotating chefs! I’d love to experience an African chef cuisine!

Fool me twice. It’s my own fault for expecting them to incorporate face to face, politely delivered feedback the first time, so I’m going public.
As vegetarian diners, it can be difficult to find interesting experiences for special occasions. Turns out The Kitchen chefs will adapt the offerings for any diet. But here’s the rub…
When you make the non-refundable reservation on tock, it will tell you there’s a way to specify diet when checking out. So you proceed through the process and keep clicking next until you’ve charged your credit card and been confirmed, but there was nowhere to say you’re vegetarian.
So you go to call the restaurant, and it turns out there’s no voicemail.
And then you go to email them and have to dig deep into their online presence to find it. Then they don’t respond for three days, and when they do, they tell you you have not actually had the reservation experience you just had because “when you made the reservation there was a form to specify diet needs”.
Exact same experience, both times, right down to being told about the form.
So my fault for doing this twice, but their fault for gaslighting someone they just gouged for over $300 (for two).
The food was decent, more novel than good (I suspect they aren’t really interested in vegetarian cuisine as the dishes are modified rather than constructed for it). While I appreciate a minimalist space, it does feel like being on a reality tv set. But the main complaint is the attitude.
One time they offered a plant-based menu. I assumed this meant vegan. Well no. We, and several other diners that night, were condescendingly informed that “plant-based” means something different in the culinary world. I accept that. But maybe it’s worth rewriting your menu description to let the veggies and vegans who aren’t versed in industry jargon know you’re going to serve them meat and dairy.
The concept is interesting. The attitude toward feedback is telling. And you will waste energy trying to communicate basic information. As I explained in my last email to them, “it should not be this hard to not eat meat”. Nor should I be made to feel stupid or like I’m a liar for giving FEEDBACK THEY SOLICITED.

I love every meal I’ve had here and I’ve eaten there a ton. Each experience is unique and worth the money!
We felt scammed. None of the food appears freshly cooked. They seem to be using a lot of frozen/pre made stuff. I'm pretty sure I heard the microwave going while we waited.
Amazing Vietnamese inspired cuisine with Anne, each dish was thoughtfully prepared and soooo good. The owner was incredibly hospitable and we loved talking to him. Great drinks too! Worth every penny for this unique dining experience!

Chef Osmar is so amazing and talented. I love the atmosphere the restaurant was giving speakeasy vibes. I really like this unique and intimate vibe that this restaurant give. I also love the Q&A session that the chef does at the end of the meal. The food was delicious would come back again and to try another chef and taste their menu . It was always my Birthday and they made it special and everyone came out to sing to me. Definitely will recommend to anyone wanting a unique and intimate dining

A successful viral marketing strategy on social media, but a disappointing execution when it comes to the food—especially at an average price of over $100 per person with wine.
Went in with high expectations. The first surprise came when the host told us they only had one or two red wine options. The second was the plate of salad that looked like something from a grocery store. The third was the chips, which tasted like they came straight from a supermarket bag. And the final surprise? A new group of guests came in before we even finished. And the best part? They were asked to step back out into the freezing cold pitch-black night 🤣
Delivering a true fine dining experience—based on the food alone—requires a lot: sourcing the best ingredients, days of preparation, and a chef who’s intimately familiar with the kitchenware and the flow of the kitchen. I honestly don’t see how a pop-up model can meet any of those standards, yet still justify a $100+ price tag.
And speaking of elements beyond the food—service, decor, kitchenware, wine pairing—each plays a critical role in a fine dining experience. Aside from the surprise blackout secret door, the interior was awful: lacking detail, lacking cleanliness, just overall unimpressive. The dinnerware felt cheap, and the wine selection was minimal.

Excellent experience! Been there couples time with my staff members already. Awesome chill place for small groups perfect for private parties. They have different chef with different menus every time you can schedule the food type you like which is new to me. They always explain everything share their experiences, uses and the process of each dish. Great service always make sure our glasses are full

Had an amazing Cajun dinner prepared by Chef Marcus. We really enjoyed the food and service. It’s a quiet place - perfect for a weekday date! I would have been happier had there been less smoke in the air though, really bothered my eyes. They could use better ventilation. All in all, great place to visit!

Just do it. If you snag a reservation, don’t hesitate, just go. Went here for a birthday dinner and was quite happy with the service, food, and drinks. Chef Nisa embodied her love for food in each dish and it was well received by all attended. The owner played host and he kept the vibe jovial, welcoming and laid back, but still left enough moments for it to be intimate with your company. 10/10 Will revisit!
