This pains me to say because being from out of town I have only been about 5 times 3 at the old location.The new location is amazing for ambiance, and the drinks are good but the service was poor. Non busy night 3 bartenders behind the bar and they were all non attentive. Food not as good as it used to be in my humble opinion.

Every time I order through Postmates, an item is missing. This time it was a $15 bottle of margarita mix. It has been impossible dealing with trying to get a refund each time from Postmates so I have lost quite a bit of money.

Host was very weird and flustered and said “I only have this booth” when we were a party of two and there was nothing wrong with the table. So I don’t know what that was about. Next, she sat us and no one ever came back so we left.Hilarious how you can get four tacos for 15 dollars at The Moose and it’s 2 tacos for $17 dollars at matador. Go to the moose instead, spend half as much and dont get treated like you’re eating at a school cafeteria.We’ve been here once before and it was just as bad.

My friends gave me a birthday lunch there on Sunday March 31st. It was really a treat. The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and professional. I loved having my birthday celebration there. I would highly recommend to anyone! Go and see, you’ll love it ???

I’ve been to matador several times and I usually love it. I recommended to go there with my friends for lunch today and the server took nearly 20 mins to get us drinks. It was busy so I understood at first. We placed our entree order and the server never brought us chips and salsa so we asked for it after another 15 mins or so and then he came back with the chips and asked us if we wanted to order food.. even though we already placed our entree orders. He forgot to put them in and asked us to give him our order again. One of my two friends that came in, ordered 3 enchiladas and they only gave her 2 so he said the 3rd one was on him. The manager walked by us about 5 times, noticing that we hadn’t been served much, she looked a little concerned/stressed but she didn’t ask if we needed anything or check on us at all. The server was “Oscar B” according to the receipt. I’m a server too so I was trying to be as patient as possible and thought to myself, we all make mistakes but that maybe he could compensate. If he had told his manager what he did, I’d hope they would accommodate better than one free enchilada for one persons bill. My friend was late for work because of the way the service went. I’m not going to let one server stop me from coming back but they should be held accountable if this place wants to maintain its good reputation.

Great food and drinks here, which I'm sure other reviews dive into. However, I'll focus on the unique deals! I usually don't get home from work until 10:30/11pm, so I find almost every place with a real kitche that isn't fast-food is closed after 10pm, even by 9pm it starts getting limited.Anytime here is a great way to widen your tequila knowledge and experience, but Tuesday for the "Top Shelf Tuesday" feels too good to be true. It's a staggering 50% off all tequilas $16 and over. For example, I've never heard of a $16 ($32 normally here) Clase Azul Reposado pour at a bar/restaurant... Realistically even buying the entire 750ml bottle at fair price from a liquor store and having it at home is ~$12 for each of the seventeen (17), 1.5oz pours. For just a few extra $$ per order of tequila, the knowledgeable/well-trained bartenders can walk you through the thoughtfully chosen menu. Try a flavor profile or producing region that you have less or no familiarity with! I'll also mention that the atmosphere, decoration, and music add more to any date, night out with friends or lunch/dinner yourself.Also, don't forget the Grande Happy Hour Nachos for $7 and only another $3.5 during HH for a pile of Chicken, Beyond Picadillo, House Chorizo, Carnitas, or Ground Beef on top. Look at the picture of these objectively 2-3 full-size meals worth of food stacked highwith my hand to the lift side of the plate. My hands are definitely on the larger side too! This is odd to mention in a review but for context, I'm over 6ft tall and every nitrile medium-size glove won't fit at all and large-size gloves are often a bit uncomfortable.

I really like this restaurant and so far, this location has been the best. Not only is the food superbly flavorful and fresh, the drinks are amazing! The Cadillac margarita is likely the best I’ve ever had. And a shout out to Karen Y. Who served me today and was just the friendliest, upbeat server I’ve encountered in a long time. She was pleasant, quick, not overbearing and did all the things a good server should do. Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon treat!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free available and accommodated.
