For a place that only runs on tips, their service is horrendous. I felt they were low-key racist and just didn't feel welcomed. My friend ordered a soda and she got it in a cute cup. I went a bit after her, but the bartender seemed annoyed when I ordered the same but just gave me the can because I am mexican and she's not. So, of course, she got better treatment than me. When I went to the coat check lady, she was just passive aggressive and sarcastic. I asked her if I get a paper or something she just rudely said to give me my wrist. She wrote a number on my wrist. I regretted giving her a tip beforehand. If you're a person of color, you will be treated horribly.

Totally awesome vibe, even on slow days... yes, it's cash only, and you must have a membership to get in (or get guested in by a member), but its all worth it. Good drinks, great staff. Make sure to tip because the staff are volunteers. They don't get paid, so look out for them!

Definitely Love how it's Membership/Members Only. No pictures inside! Only yourself and if you want others in your pics, you have to ask. Even if they are in the background. No creepy people hitting on you or getting all touchy feely. They do not have food. Many drinks! All staff is paid with tips. & all staff is volunteers. All DJ's play best music! Had a coat check. Seen different artists work in the hall. With different themes to make it even more fun! Thank You to all at The Mercury! ???

My absolute favourite place to let go and dance. Spacious, moody lighting, clean dance floor, sick loud beats, strong drinks and clean bathrooms. No food except some snacks. I’ve been a member for a couple years. It’s worth the drive from Tacoma— this place is my second home. Dress code applies and you must be guested in by a member if you are not one yourself. Cash only, so bring plenty to tip your staff (who are all volunteers) and your DJ!
