A local friend hosted us at The Nest for drinks and bites in early October. A bar and lounge at the top of the Thompson Hotel, the beauty of the interior is only surpassed by the incredible roof-top views. From our seats under the umbrella, we could see from one end of the harbor to the other, and clear across Elliot Bay. With distant mountains peaking of the stadiums, it was an incredible vantage unequalled in the remainder of our visit.
We have wonderful drinks, including a delicious Cava, along with shishitos, foraged mushroom skewers and an incredible salmon dip. It was like the best of the PNW on little plates. Don’t miss this spot above Pike Place… it will be an absolute highlight.

This is my second time here, but I really wanted to show my boyfriend how beautiful the vibe and view are from up here.

First off, The Nest is located inside the Thompson Hotel in downtown Seattle. Don’t try to hop on the elevator on your own, you will need to check in with the host downstairs. They’re the only ones with the special key to take you up.

Once you’re up there, it’s definitely worth it! They operate on a first-come, first-serve basis, and the full bar display can get really busy. There’s usually a line for drinks, but once you’re seated and sipping, it’s so worth it.

I just love the atmosphere here very chic but chill, with unbeatable skyline and waterfront views. We came up for a couple of cocktails as a nightcap, and it was the perfect way to end the evening.

If you’re into rooftop bars with stunning views and good vibes, The Nest at Thompson Seattle is a must.

Great view. Terrible service. Waiting 45 mins for a drink isn’t fun.

Will never go here again. You wait in a line at the bar to get your drinks. Which is not an issue at all. Then get two drinks and start to leave a tip but total is $74. For two drinks. Well they automatically add a 20% tip and don’t disclose it. 20% tip and I have to go to the bar and get my own drink. Are you insane. A tip is something you give after you have received and consumed your food or drink. After not before and it’s not automatic it’s my choice if I feel the service and drinks were good then I tip well. I waited tables in fine dining for over 10 years and I earned every tip I got because I gave exceptional service. I would never want an automatic tip.

Beware of your drink. Make sure to watch it being made. My husband and I each ordered $20+ cocktails and saw the bartender pour bottom-shelf liquor instead of what was advertised. When we questioned it, he first tried to tell us it was Woodford and Tito. When I shared I saw he didn’t use what was advertised, he insisted the premium brands “weren’t available” and that the cheap substitutes were “excellent choices.” The whiskey came from a plastic bottle with a twist-off cap, and the vodka poured was Smirnoff instead of the Tito listed on the menu. I later asked another bartender, and he confirmed that Woodford and Tito were both available.

Didn’t get to experience the service , didn’t get checked in at all , so we didn’t get the chance to order food that we wanted , after we had ordered drinks, we were there for about an hour or so. Understand if it’s it’s busy but to not check up once is crazy to me . Other than that the view is great during sunset and night hour and the drinks we got were pretty good as well

Lousy food but great service and a great view.

Ordered the hummus and pork belly. The pita bread was warmed on their flat top grill and was burned and had a smoked oil flavor from when oil is too hot. Made it not very enjoyable. Pork belly was way overcooked.

🥓🍤 the pork belly skewers and shrimp skewers were very good. I would definitely recommend them.

My Mocktail was all right, but I was really there for the views and the views didn't disappoint 😊

You pay for the views. Get ready to pay for $9 can of soda or a $25 for a cocktail.
