Never disappoints. Consistent. Quality cuts of meat prepared with understated precision. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Excellent cocktails from an awesome bartender.

Warm, inviting, tasty. We had a bigger group and tried a little bit of everything on the menu. All great

We always love The Shambles. Everything is delicious from drinks to sides to the amazing selection of meat.

Shambles is a hidden gem in the north Seattle area. It has a low key street front presence in an area where one would not necessarily suspect a restaurant to be. Honestly, I had driven by many, many times without ever even noticing this place. I only learned of it when meeting for a group dinner with some friends over a year ago. This is now a go to place for a special meal. If you like steak, then Shambles is your place. The vibe is low key, though. Warm wood, soft lighting, casual feeling, but classy at the same time. Not too lout. Oh, and the food is fabulous! I took my husband there last night to celebrate a work milestone. I ordered the tri tip beef sandwich, which was superb. (Note: I swapped out the golden beet salad in place of fries. There was an upcharge, but it was a choice I do not regret!). My husband ordered the wagyu beef, cooked to perfection medium rare. We got a Ceasar Salad to start, also top notch! And....we ordered G and Ts with the Astrea Spirits Mist gin, which won a double gold award in the SF global spirits competition this last summer. I had been meaning to try it, but have not encountered it at other restaurants/bars that I have been to since learning about it. It did not disappoint! The fact that Shambles serves this gin was just one more confirmation that the owner/manager is dedicated to offering the very finest quality of everything from food to drink. Did I mention that the service is superb? We will be back.

It was certainly nice enough. I liked the more casual atmosphere. The steak was decent though I felt it was overpriced for the quality. Maybe I was just unlucky with my 12oz ribeye but I don't think I would go back. The mushroom side was absolutely delicious though.

The food was good, but it was so hot inside it was unenjoyable, it's hard to have a nice dinner when you are dripping sweat.

Tl/dr: Unpretentious steakhouse.

Recently discovered this hidden gem in the Mapleleaf area of town. Made a reservation and wasn't sure if we needed to dress up or not.

Arrived to a very warm welcome, and lo-fi hip hop beats. Our servers were super friendly, knowlegable and were humorous. The vibe here is eat well, your'e going to be taken care of.

We just found our new favorite place for enjoying a very nice meal offered by wonderful people.

Parking is hit or miss out back.
Reservations are always welcome.

Absolutely fantastic steak, oh my goodness! We had the Wagyu bavette and Denver and both were amazing. Perhaps the bavette edged out as the winner, by a tiny bit. An incredible sear and crust on the outside, perfectly cooked to medium rare, tender and juicy on the inside. The sides (roasted radishes, smashed potatoes) and drinks and dessert were all excellent, too. Just a great neighborhood spot with a flair for quality and nice surrounds!

You can’t go wrong with a happy hour or dinner here, it’s worth every cent - and many would likely tell you it’s a value for the quality of the food and service.
I love to come here for an occasional date night, the steaks (no matter the cut - you don’t have to get wagyu for it to be great!) and burger are always incredible - sides and starters also, I’ve never had a bad salad or burrata dish here, I usually hate beets and they made a beet salad that changed my mind. The menu is seasonal always changing - which can be a positive or a negative (if you long for the beet/yuzu salad that is gone forever.)
Cocktails are lovely, as is the wine and the staff is always personable, kind and delightfully unpretentious - even when they’re busy.
Happy hour has a really different menu of small plates too - so you’re never ordering the same thing twice.
Really, as someone who doesn’t often go for a three figure dinner, I’m always grateful that I feel like my money is well-spent here.

We ordered several ribeyes and filet. Cooked superbly with delicious crust on the steak both when rare or well done. The potatoes, radishes, peppers, and steak tartare all came out nicely seasoned and without heavy grease. We ate a lot and left satisfied. Will return to try the wagyu
