I took my parents to the yard, and the waitress with red hair should be in the running for the best waitress of all time. She was so kind and accommodating with my mom’s food sensitivities, and stopped by our table enough to be helpful, usually with a witty line. She made our experience excellent.
Lovely spot with good food and drinks. Indoor and outdoor seating. You used to be able to park in the lot next door, but the salon there took ALL of the spots. Which is ridiculous if you ask me. But Yard cafe is great.
The cod/quinoa bowl was sold out so I tried the orange chipotle salad with spicy shrimp per staff’s recommendation. Hot damn! Five stars!! It was so delicious and surprising. I loved all of the different elements together from the tang of the pickled shallots to the citrus and touch of heat from the juicy perfectly cooked shrimp. I am 100% coming back for this salad! I still have to try the original dish at some point, but it’s going to be hard to move away from this one....
