Solid sours- purchased today at the Ballard Farmers Market. Hitting the spot with yard work and sun
Fast and friendly service. Free parking lot shared with the other businesses.
I can only guess that the reason Tin Dog is selling its beer at the farmers markets now is because the brewery has closed and they’re trying to get rid of remaining stock. We paid $6 a 12 oz can each for a farmhouse ale and an IPA at the Everett Farmers Market on August 21. A couple of days later we tried the farmhouse ale. When we opened it, there was no carbonation. It tasted like a farmhouse, but was completely flat. Blech! Nothing appealing about it. I messaged the brewery on Instagram and to this day have not received a reply. We tried the IPA the next day hoping for a better result. This beer had slightly better than no carbonation, and was also unappealing.Judging by the infrequency if their social media posts and the fact that their last social media post was on August 21, I can only guess that what’s being sold at the farmers markets are the remaining products of what may have once been a legitimate brewery. Don’t waste your money on this beer—especially not $6 a 12 oz can. You can buy better craft beer literally anywhere else in this area, and for much less.
Super friendly owners greeted us as we walked in. My wife and I loved that they brought in local artists to share the tap room space. Decent selection of sours. The IPA on tap had a strong flavor suggestion of brettanomyces or similar infection. Had to pour it out ?. Maybe proximity to all the sour brewing?
If you like sour brews there are multiple selections that are very nice. If you like traditional brews I have never had worse in over 20 years of tasting local breweries around north America. The IPA I tasted was probably the worst I have ever paid for, and when I tried to speak with the owner regarding the taste the only response I got was "well that is your opinion". I will not be back.
Absolutely atrocious prices charged by this brewery at Farmer's Markets. Couldn't hear the total due to the noise/masks but when I got the receipt I was flabbergasted that I paid $33 for four, 12 ounce cans of mediocre sour IPA. Never again. Be warned.
Went to the Everett farmer's market today. Saw the tin dog brewing tent and was very intrigued that they had sours. My wife and I really enjoy the brews that test the taste buds. Sadly we didn't buy their beer as the gal working the stand was just plain rude. We have had beer from big and small breweries and never been treated so rudely that we wouldn't even try the beer.Good luck
I bought a 12-ounce can of Peach Sour for $7.99 at PCC. For this cost I was expecting to have a rapturous experience drinking this small serving. I was underwhelmed by an overly sour and unimpressive drink.
Bought some of their beer at a farmers market. I got the bourbon saison and Norwegian scream. Both were incredibly sour and weird tasting. Wasn’t expecting that, especially for a lager (Norwegian scream). Not thrilled with the beers I tried but I wouldn’t object to trying their other beers.
Great little space in South Seattle with tasty beer!

Cozy, locally owned, gem on the west end of South Park in an industrial park. Award winning Saisons. Very unique beer menu. Quiet place perfect for a first date, read a book, or to play dominoes. Dog friendly. Friendly owners Lisa and Eric are always welcoming. Pint club. Nice in summer as you can sit outside at the picnic tables and get some sun. Bottles to go.
I've been enjoying Tin Dog beers for quite a while now, but now that they're focusing more on sours and re-branding as a blendery, this is definitely the time to check out what they're doing. My favorite that they have going right now is the On a Sour Note, but they have about 5 or 6 different sours that are all pretty distinct on tap right now. Eric and Lisa are the co-owners and I've spent enough time chatting with them to know that they're passionate about their business and enough time drinking their beer to know that it's a cut above. If you like sours, put it on your short list. You can still be the person in your beer lovers group that "knew about Tin Dog before they blew up".
This little spot makes some great beers! You can get fresh cans to go. Easy to get to off of Hy 509. Check them out!
Highly recommended small batch brewery in south Seattle. I was very impressed with their saisons and sours, so much so that I bought several bottles to enjoy later as well. Eric and Lisa are super friendly, check them out, you will not be disappointed!
Excellent craft beer. They brew a variety of beers that you won’t find anywhere else. Family friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We always bring some beer home.
