The food was fantastic. The service was slow but it was enjoyable to not be rushed and to savor each plate. Just be aware if you are in a rush. The 22% automatic service charge was a surprise and a disappointment.
Had the family meal + chawanmushi (because I need that). All of it was delicious. Fun bite was the rice cake - when I read rice cake, i thought it was those... weird hockey puck-type thing. It was NOT - it was the coin-sized rice cake in all its chewy deliciousness, covered in cheese, pepper, and herb oil! I love love loved the pork chop - in lettuce and shiso leaf wrap with fish sauce. Never had Japanese before. I mostly stuck to what I know which was the chicken, Caesar salad, and a sweet potato. All were crafted uniquely in their own way. The sweet potato had red caviar and seaweed butter which was delicious, the chicken was sticky and sweet, and the Caesar salad was flavorful and had lots of delicious cheese and dressing.
