Beautiful environment. Like no other coffee shop, it blows all others out of the water! As a former barista Tougo has wonderful coffee quality as well.Best of all it is black owned!Calling all Seattlites to support black owned businesses!

I liked the food and coffee here but the owner made me feel so uncomfortable.
This is a Super Cool neighborhood coffee shop, that is worth visiting from anywhere! Great indoor and outdoor seating. Amazing views, and great service. I will be back here many more times. My tea was hand brewed by the co-owner Berhanu . So Awesome and delicious
Parking: On Yesler in the Beautiful and updated neighborhood, very close to downtown Seattle

Good coffee. Went on weekend so they didn’t have much food and drip coffee options. they made me Americano coffee which was really great. It’s really relax and laid-back place. They also sell wine and coffee beans.if you want to work they also have Wi-Fi option and there are some bakery items too. The guy at the counter was really helpful and welcoming. Parking can be a little bit tricky but it’s all street parking, it’s relatively huge place and can be a good spot for working overall it’s really good I wish I could had chance to eat some breakfast sandwich.

A few things to state with my experience at this coffee shop. With the publicity around the owner being a talented artist and long time member of the community, the expectation would have been that this review would have started with 5 stars. But oh, dear readers, the storm was brewing behind those espresso machines. My experience with the owner was less than subpar. His condescension dripped like over-extracted espresso, staining the otherwise pleasant ambiance. I'm hoping Berhanu’s superiority complex on the day of my visit was only due to a bad case of the blues.

I my to this coffee shop originally because it was in more Seattle passport café booklet. I really wish this café was more convenient to my daily life, because I would go to it daily if it was. Off the bat the man working there who I think is the owner but if not whoever was working there had the most amazing energy and friendliness And a great smile and I felt like I was talking to a friend who have known for 20 years even though I've only known this man for five minutes. And then to top it all off my coffee was one of the best I've had in a while and the muffin was delicious. I've never left a coffee shop feeling so empowered and having a great day before
Wheelchair accessibility: No steps into cafe and the sidewalks surrounding it had wheelchair ramps

Great pour over. Cute atmosphere. My only complaint is it's cold out and they've propped the door open, so all the cold, wet air is just creeping in and making it excessively cold inside.

Tougo Coffee is a MUST visit if you’re in Seattle. The vibe is warm and welcoming with plants everywhere and art on the walls. The coffee is absolutely perfect and the pastry’s are divine. My husband and I were lucky enough to meet the owner, Berhanu, and converse for a while. Berhanu made us feel so incredibly welcome, being rather new to the area. We had a delightful experience and can’t wait to go back.

Recently I hosted my extended family from LA and Santa Fe for a long weekend. We gathered on several occasions at Tougo to pause and connect over expertly crafted coffee and wonderful treats. We all agreed that is was the ideal neighborhood coffee house. Thank you, Berhanu, for taking good care of all of us.

Decided to stop in during a walk, I asked for a drip coffee and was told there wasn't any made, and asked if I'd rather have a pour over or Americano, so I said pour over, assuming it would be offered at the same price of drip, and there were no prices to see what anything costs, or sizes, and when I went to pay, I was charged an insane $7 for a small cup of plain, mediocre coffee that I waited over ten minutes to get and it was lukewarm. There were also no napkins, or a station for creamer/milk or anything. I had to ask for milk, and the owner acted put out, and wouldn't even let me pour it, I had to hand my cup over. Also, the bathroom was out of order.I'd love to support neighborhood businesses, but not like this.

Really nice place to pop in for coffee. The really nice gentleman behind the bar offered to "make something you'll like" and he was on point!
