Taste: 3Quality: 4Quantity: 3Service: 4Price: 3Trophy cupcakes is inside the Amazon building. I’ve lived in the SLU area for awhile, but didn’t realize this was here. It’s likely due to their unique hours. I learned that it has to follow the Amazon hours, so it’s only really open during your working day, M-F 10-5:30. I suppose something is better than nothing, but I don’t really know of many people who want a cupcake in the middle of a work day. Here’s the scoop. I didn’t think the cupcakes were bad at all. I actually thought the cake, base part of the cupcake, was really good. It was super dense and moist. Truth be told, I really wanted to love this place, but I didn’t think it was all that great. I think the shape of a cupcake (ratio of wide to tall) and the icing go a long way. We got the pumpkin, funfetti, cookie dough, and carrot cake. The carrot cake had cream cheese frosting. I thought the cupcake was good, but I didn’t love it. The frosting was a little too cheesy. The funfetti was a normal icing, but it (and the pumpkin) were so tall, I couldn’t bite it top down. I had to eat it from the side, and I found myself taking bites of the frosting at one point, which was a little rich for me.I don’t know. All things considered, I didn’t think they were bad. They were good! If you’re nearby, certainly check it out. I personally think they could apply a little more human centered design in the product, as opposed to making it look super fancy, which it does :) I might come back because it’s in walking distance and my wife loves cupcakes, but I don’t think I’d go too far out of my way.

I love picking up pre orders here! Very convenient spot to pull up to. :) their website makes it very easy to order online, and they also have cupcakes, macarons and cakes to purchase same day.

Wow, sad to say but just ordered from this company and the delivery person basically dropped the box when handing it to us. These are pricey cupcakes and presentation is part of the value. So disappointed. These are for a birthday and its bummer that this is how it will be remembered.

What is happening to this place?? They have amazing flavors and cupcakes. I live in puyallup but my husband works in Seattle and brings me home some on occasion as a surprise. This last time being Valentine's Day. The last few times they've been old! Dried out and flavorless (like cupcakes made ages ago that have sat out). I've been so disappointed. They're so expensive but quality is really going downhill and it makes me so sad. They used to be amazing. It's been consistently getting worse, to the point I told him to stop going there. Please get your act together :(

Decent cupcake hits the spot for sweet treat. I went at the end of the evening and still had good selection. I got vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting. The frosting was very stiff and a lot. Probably 40% of the cupcake. I like a lot of frosting too. The cake part was a little dry.

I didn't actually eat these as I bought them for my staff for that holiday that's on 2/14 (at least they tell me it's a holiday? lol). The cupcakes look incredible with an expert presentation. I asked a lot of questions, and they were patient to help me make the best decision. After I left, I forgot to ask a few questions so I called back and they were just as kind and helpful. If the cupcakes are as good as the customer service, then this place is a no brainer to visit!

Super cute cupcake place that has some amazing flavors like peanut butter s'mores or samoa...yum!! They also have some cute birthday plates/candles that you can pick up. The staff is always super friendly. The cupcakes are super moist and full of flavor. Defiantly pick one up!

I'm writing based off the one I got of the bunch: the carrot walnut. The price is high (we got 16 cupcakes for $75). In fact, I believe Sprinkles in LA is cheaper. And Hello, Cupcake in Tacoma is about a buck cheaper per. But the cupcake was good -- very moist (the only negative was it was a bit too oily, but that can happen with carrot cake) and with a milder sweetness throughout -- which at this stage in life I prefer. A+ on the packaging, too. Bottom line: I can't speak to the ambiance or service because someone else made the pickup, but decent cupcakes. Are they worth the price? Probably not, but is any cupcake?

To make a perfect cupcake, I look for frosting that’s not too sweet and actually tastes like what they promise, and a cake batter that’s fluffy and truly complements the frosting. Though they get the frosting half right, the batter is a bit too dense. Presentation gets an A+.
