Tulio has been a longstanding Seattle gem, but like our city's decline, Tulio has suffered the same fate. Small, limited menu; and just mediocre. the Burrata appetizer was bland, Ceasar salad was basic, lamb ragu pasta had little taste. the service was great and the ambiance is still classic, but overall very underwhelming.
Il a fallu renvoyer un plat qui était froid et le serveur nous a demandé si on désirait un dessert alors que nous n'avions pas encore terminé notre repas car il désirait fermer.
The lamb shank was terrible. Had no flavor at all. The pasta with sausage and red sauce tasted like something from Walmart. Was expensive. Both my brother and I said we would have rather eaten at fast food. I Did like the ambience of the restaurant. I really wish I could have been reimbursed for the whole thing. Waiter had to have noticed the lamb was only half eaten.
Everything was sub par. Pasta itself was good but nothing great. Lamb was dry and not much flavor. Overall like a 2/5 no value
Food is terrible. Ordered the pork chop and it was way too pink inside. The server agreed and took it back. Waited 30 minutes for them to cook another one and parts of the second were undercooked while other parts were dry. Also the chop was almost half fat. I'm talking big chunks of inedible fat. For this, they're charging $40?!! The room is dimly lit but I could see visible dust on the table lamp. If they turned the lights up, I'm sure we'd find the room in need of a deep cleaning. Look, I don't expect much from a hotel restaurant, but I don't understand how this place even keeps the doors open.
Tulio is a reliable restaurant for high quality service, drinks, food, and ambiance. I just wish they had more vegetarian options.
Exceptional in every aspect. A long-established gem in downtown Seattle that never fails to disappoint. Atmosphere, food, and service all impeccable. Highly recommend if in the city.
Exceptional waiter and amazing food! Kudos to the chef and owner for keeping it classy! We will be back for sure!! Happy New Year!
Normally I'd give Tulio 5 stars. I've been going there for years and I especially love it at Christmas time with all the decorations, and I normally love their menu. Unfortunately I chose to go there on NYE this year. I was looking forward to the chicken and risotto all week, which the website says in on the menu and does not say there is a "special" (aka limited) menu on NYE. The food is normally outstanding (I hadn't been there in 2 years though) but last night it was just not very good. Apps and entree both. Meh. Decorations were minimal (none at all in the bar, which I usually like to sit in with the dark wood and ambiance), service is usually great, last night it was just ok. And we were CONSTANTLY asked if we were done with plates that we very obviously were still eating. I'll go again but never on a holiday.
Another exceptional dinner at Tulio’s on 12/3/25! I live about an hour south of Seattle but I always come here for my birthday dinner which I’ve been doing at least for the past decade. The gnocchi is amazing and we each had the black cod, the best I’ve ever had. Amazingly, for the past few years we’ve gotten the same server - Chris P. He ensured that our experience was very special, from his recommendations to the candle in my gelato! Thanks Chris!

On a return visit to Tulio after years of not coming here, we found that the team of workers was much less polished and professional than in the past. Some of the awkward small talk and odd remarks about how certain dishes should be eaten or how they were conceived were indicative of the server's lack of experience. The two pasta dishes were decent, but overpriced at $36. Other places charge under $30 or even under $25 for pasta that is at least as good and prepared with a little more finesse. We didn't order the "bread service" for $10, which we considered a rip-off. But it was certainly popular, probably because people didn't see the listing on the menu and answered "yes" to being asked, "Would you like some bread?" A burrata-centered appetizer and an olive cake dessert both suffered from too many unnecessary ingredients being used, confusing the dish and adding flavors and textures that didn't belong. We shared these, but for one person they would have been way too much food together with an entree. When we were done, the table had been cleared, and we were ready to go, we entered the tunnel of invisibility, which is often what happens when the working team isn't quite professional. It took a little effort to get the check. So, all in all, a decent middle-of-the-road dining experience, but certainly no reason to rush back.
Loved the upstairs....attentive service and excellent food. Try the olive oil cake- it doesn't disappoint
We normally hate sitting at the bar, but that was the only option when we showed up on a busy night. We had a wonderful experience, with Devin taking great care of us. The bar is classy but cozy- we’ll be back!
Not friendly with the individual traveler. I arrived at the beginning of dinner service at 5pm. All tables were empty and yet they offered me to sit in the bar, since I was alone and they justified having many reservations that day. I didn't want to pay a restaurant price and sit at the bar. I left without eating
Gladdys was so sweet and quick! The atmosphere is beautiful and cozy. We had breakfast and dinner here and it was amazing. Highly recommend!
