Went here one day for takeout. The place itself was alright, and the workers were friendly and the food came out fast! However, the food itself was not the best. I ordered the chicken teriyaki, and the chicken was chewy and rubbery feeling. The rice was dry, and overall not the best food. If youre desperate and not wanting tk walk all the way up the ave (University Avenue), it’s okay—but there are definitely better places if you walk further up.

Food was pretty good, the chicken and spicy chicken teryaki was nice. Service was decent and dining in wasn’t bad.

This is University Teriyaki next to Well's Fargo. I think the Yelp page hasn't been updated in a while, so many of the previous reviews are probably inaccurate since the owner has changed. This place is a great place for a quick lunch or dinner. The portions are also enormous so I can always get two meals out of one. I love the spicy chicken, beef short ribs, Mongolian beef (made spicy), and shredded potato!

Delicious, large portions, & fast service. Underrated! One of my favorite spots on the Ave. Best dish: combo fried rice (has beef, pork, AND chicken)

This is University Teriyaki and Bakery on the Ave. I can't speak for the other food, but the egg rolls I got were delicious and huge. I'd come again for the egg rolls and I'd be willing to try the other menu items. FYI they don't sell their baked goods here anymore but they do have them at the H Mart a few blocks down.

Sauce isn't great and the meat seemed cooked long before I visited and so did the rice unfortunately. No bakery items available. I always tip well before food comes because I appreciate a smile service. Food wasn't great. I wouldn't return even if prices were lower. Bad tummy ache the next day and I had only eaten not even half of my chicken/beef teriyaki. I figured couldn't go wrong with that eh.....Good luck to them but much needs improvement. You have great service. You need a great sauce and fresh meat. Chicken is so cheap. Go to winco...Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of space for dining. I always see it empty when I pass by daily. Wish them the best..I hope they read what people say and can improve food :). ? praying for them.

Had the Mongolian Beef and it was delicious, tasted like home. Highly recommend as the place definitely doesn’t reflect it’s rating.

The chicken I just ate here is some of the worst I've had in years. Service is OK but when the food is that raunchy I'm surprised they are still open. Before you eat here, check out the many other options open if you are willing to walk just 1 or 2 more blocks. For what it's worth, I won't go back.

Nice restaurant in a convenient location. However, I ordered the chicken curry and received literally that. Just a ton of white rice covered in barely any curry sauce and barely any of the chicken for $15. In their advertisement photo, the curry has peas, carrots, zucchini, etc. but I got none of that. After I complained about it; they just said that it is how it is. Nice false advertisement.

Delicious and fast. Broccoli was a little undercooked for my preference, but that’s a personal thing. Menu needs an update.

Nothing wrong about this place now but I think a lot of previous reviews have been in the past where the restaurant wasn't the most sanitary. Anyways, it's pretty average for teriyaki in that nothing is under average and nothing exceeds expectations. They're currently pretty understaffed so you might experience some wait, especially for placing an order. That being said, surprisingly my order came out pretty quick after I ordered.Prices don't vary from your typical teriyaki in the $10-15 range and portions seem the same as well. I viewed some other pictures where people mention that they had large portions but I don't think that's true. Value is just average.Location is amazing though. It's literally closest to the west side of campus as you enter the Ave. So that's one of the greatest things about this place, vicinity saves you a trek and food is relatively tasty.I wanted a pork katsu and chicken katsu combo but I think the cashier misheard me. At first he said they don't sell it, but he could make it for an extra dollar. I was excited and all in. In the end, I'm a bit confused at what I received, but I'm pretty sure it was pork katsu and pork teriyaki. The teriyaki was harder to identify because of the teriyaki sauce, but it was darker and definitely didn't taste like chicken or beef. The katsu was pork, but visually I could've made a case for chicken. While I'm happy with what I ate, I do wish that I got both katsus as that's what I was primarily craving. With this in mind though, it seems like you can request any sort of combination and they'd gladly make it for you, just know there may be an additional cost.

These prices are inaccurate. The Chicken/Beef combo is 3 dollars more. But food is sufficient and Tasty. I will return. Chicken is a little dry, and needs more sauce .

Spicy noodle soup tasted like something had gone sour in it, and it costed 16$. Add on a Crystal lite, and an 8 piece frozen gyoza and your at 32$.

Young lady working here was rude as hell. I asked for dine in and she just tossed my plate at my table and walked away. No silverware or anything. Very disrespectful and food was awful.
