Very disappointed in my service here. The other day I came in to order a drink that was the worst I’ve ever had. I asked the server to remake with additional request to allow the tea to brew before adding milk. Unfortunately the drink still tasted only of hot watery milk so after contemplating just leaving without saying anything I built up the courage to ask for a less expensive drink to replace as I thought it would be less upsetting for him than asking for a refund. I was incredibly kind to the server throughout, apologizing, but did not get the same treatment back. After posting a review of my experience on yelp, the manager quickly posted a comment on my review, with the tone of also blaming me ie I should have asked for a longer steep (which I did), making sure to emphasize that I already got a replacement drink. In looking at other negative reviews I see this same manager is quick to come back with defensive comments. I understand you want to defend your business, but isn’t another purpose of these reviews to take feedback gracefully with intents to improve vs immediately blaming the customer?

This cozy little spot in Magnolia Village is a great alternative to Starbucks. The barista was quick and nailed my iced latte. The open layout and laid-back atmosphere make it a perfect place to unwind.

Would come back! I quite like the clean, modern vibes here, and tables aren't too close together like some other coffee shops. I just had a chamomile tea so I can't comment on the quality of the food or drinks. Baked goods were very tempting, but I'll leave that for next time.

The covered patio seating is an especially nice spot for people watching if that's your thing. Charming little neighborhood overall.

Best baristas and coffee shop manager in Seattle! Delicious coffee and chai! This place is one of my favorite parts of my day! ❤️

The staff at this location are so kind, helpful and talented at their work that I refuse to go anywhere else in the city for coffee. All the baristas make me feel extremely welcome, comfortable and are great at putting big smiles on my face before I am even caffeinated!12/5 recommend Uptown Espresso if you're looking for a cosy and delicious local coffee joint. The dirty chai lattees are my greatest weakness and I encourage you to try one :)Big thank you for all you do for our Mag community and beyond, Uptown Espresso team!

It’s my first time to visit, not coming back. Unfriendly staff, well the gentleman was a bit nicer. I didn’t feel comfortable and welcomed. Oh well… it is what it is

Great neighborhood feel. Will always choose Uptown over the green mermaid across the street. Smooth lattes and the staff is amazing. Under new management, the place has completely turned around. A-plus that they allow dogs and always have treats. Be advised, they only accept card and tap pay, no cash. Some people don't like that. Order the genera!
