I went to get a normal breakfast; eggs, sausage, toast, and hash browns. It was $17.99. Absolutely insane. The sausage was skinny and looked and tasted weird (they did replace it with a patty, which was better). The hash browns were dry, and the toast was skimpy. Much better breakfast for cheaper at other places. The service was good and the waitress was nice.

It’s my go to Seattle breakfast diner(ish) spot. The folks who run this place have been feeding me and my family with a smile for my ENTIRE life.

The menu is practically unchanged. The hash browns are to die for. The omelets are HUGE.

At one point way way back in the day they even had dinner service.

I’m so glad they survived covid and are THRIVING. The wait times are QUICK and you’re practically guaranteed to get a massive portion.

Love to the Varsity Inn!

Such a lovely experience! The service was exceptional and the food came out very quickly. Arguably the best service I have ever experienced in the city.
We ordered the biscuits and gravy and buckwheat pancakes which were both great and provided us with lots of leftovers!

I had a great time at Varsity Inn! the staff is super friendly and welcoming, food is fairly priced for the size of the entrees and it was very yummy. I had the french toast and eggs florentine.

Surprised by all the other reviews. It was a bit overpriced and the folks didn't seem very happy to be there. Came here with a group of seven for breakfast on a Sunday and we all were all a bit shocked by the price when we got the check. Also, the two folks serving us seemed to want us out pretty quick even though the place was empty

Stopped by for a taco omelet after too many years away. Bright friendly breakfast/lunch place, great service. Lots of good stuff on the menu but the taco omelet has been my fave forever and OMG even better than I remember. O.M.G. Thank you Varsity Inn for still being here for me ?❤️‍?Special today is Huastecas ?

Vegetarian options: My vegetarian friend loves the eggs Florentine

Parking: Small lot behind the restaurant and I usually find something right in front or on either side on Wallingford Ave

Went during peak hours(while raining )and was seated within 5 minutes. Coffee was fresh and the food came out very fast. Staff was very polite and checked in on us. The atmosphere was very nice and the wall to wall windows make it feel so open it feels almost like dining outside. Definitely plan to make this a brunch staple

This is and has been our favorite breakfast place since the 80's.Not fancy but the nicest people own and work there. Portions are very large and the prices are fair.

I stopped in on my way to Gas works park. It is a cute little spot. I had the clam strips and chips. The fries and clams were crispy. The clams were absolutely delicious, I didn't even need the tartar sauce (which was also very tasty). Very fast and friendly service. Would recommend.

A small and cozy diner. Great service and atmosphere. Food portion sizes were great too. Food was okay. Coffee wasn’t that great which killed the vibe - can’t enjoy a Sunday brunch without at least a decent coffee
