Placed an order online on a Sunday, arrived and told they weren’t taking online orders… but you all charged me. Ok I’ll just make it. No ma’am, you charged me. OK cool. So now I have my smoothie. I paid $16 for a 12 oz smoothie (not even filled to the top) of banana, cacao, protein, peanut butter (generic from an enormous open tub just sitting on the counter), and almond milk… it wasn’t even good. It should’ve been good. Last complaint, it was really thick and I just got a slim straw so drinking it was a chore.

Price for the base bowl is fair, but every extra topping is an additional $2+ which is a bit steep. The açaí had no flavor. Not trying to be dramatic or anything, it had literally no flavor. I was worried I have covid or something and lost my sense of taste but I can taste everything else just fine. Not worth it at all, won’t be returning

It’s rare that I’ll leave any review, especially a negative one. This review is based on dozens of visits over years. Sadly, I think this is one of many places that declined drastically during the pandemic and never recovered

Ingredients seem fine, decent quality. And I love that we have a smoothie place in the heart of the hill.

BUT. Nobody at Verve cares about the experience, and nobody is watching quality control.

I’ve had missing ingredients, inconsistent sizing, wrong toppings, different flavors in the same bowl on different occasions, and severely melted bowls, like mine today.

I never blame the staff when this stuff happens. The owners are responsible for maintaining standards in service and product. Here, the management/owners are clearly incompetent, checked out, or both.

It’s usually the case when a place is like this that the owners sit back and collect a profit while underpaying overworked staff and failing to provide the structure/support that staff needs to excel. People who don’t care about hospitality should not have hospitality businesses.

It sucks because some days the bowls are a 5, and others they’re a 2 at best. I’m gonna lay off visiting Verve for a while and hope they get it together.

Food is good. Service isn’t.

It’s essentially a fast food place. You stand in line waiting and they expect you to tip 20-30%, the same as at a formal dining restaurant. Give me a break.

If I could give 0 stars I would, unfortunately. Upon entering WE greeted the cashier instead of being greeted, only to be left with a blank stare and no response. After ordering a green smoothie with kale and having a sip we were not satisfied with the texture or taste as the kale doesn’t blend well and is chunky and liquidy. Asking REN very politely to remake or refund us for a new smoothie, she and her coworker refused and told us wed have to buy another $10 smoothie. Not budging or trying to mend the problem. Very rude and in-accommodating staff. I would love to take down this review for an apology and refund.

UPDATE the manager has responded to me via text standing in her ground that they do not mind that we were unsatisfied, SAD.
