Every neighborhood deserves a fabulous sushi bar like Village Sushi, but few get one. Wonderful, attentive service, a chill setting with vinyl jazz playing on the hifi, and astoundingly fresh and lovingly prepared sushi, all at a reasonable price. The toro, salmon and tamago were excellent, washed down with a generous glass of Kikkoman plumb wine. A+!

Nice sushi place! Fresh and delicious sushi! The one thing that surprised me is that they don’t serve tea! Most sushi places serve you tea without even asking but they said they just don’t have it!

My favorite sushi spot in Seattle! Excellent fish quality and well priced. I love the ambience of the vinyl music and original paintings
Hands down my favorite spot to listen to jazz and eat high quality sushi in Seattle. This spot feels the most like Japan out of anywhere I've been in the US. Love the food, I stay and keep coming back for the family vibes.

Soft jazz and amazing quality sushi what more could you really ask for. Try the aged Dashi tofu which was delightful and very soft with a Dashi broth that took time and was made with absolute care. The sushi rolls were fantastic. I would recommend trying the fat tuna, but also the Nigiri was stupendous.

Sit at the bar with someone you love for a while for a great memory. Great food will accompany your conversations, especially if you go with the chef’s choices.

Well, this is the first time google reviews were wrong. We went here because we didn’t know Sumo sushi down the street was more expensive for dinner and didn’t want to pay 32$ per person. Walking in to village sushi was unnerving; it smelt gross, like bad fish, it was dimly lit, and kind of grimy. Because of the reviews, we decided to ignore this and eat here anyway. It took a while for a waiter to take our order, even though there were very few people there. I got miso soup and 2 sushi rolls, and my wife got chicken yakisoba noodles. The miso soup tasted like weed, that was not a good start. Had to go to the bathroom and it wasn’t very clean. When I came back it was time to eat; the fish was pretty fresh, but wasn’t cold, it was room temperature. The rice in the rolls was over cooked and mushi, and the tempura shrimp wasn’t crispy, like it was fried a couple hours previously. Not bad tasting, but not worth 25$ for 2 rolls. The chicken noodles were just okay. They had a weird cinnamon taste to them, and they were lukewarm. The chicken also didn’t have a lot of flavor, and all around it was very disappointing; my wife felt sick to her stomach an hour after eating here, would not go back. Should have spent the extra 15$ and eaten at Sumo Sushi
