Accidentally came after they closed since the place I was looking for ended up not being there anymore. The staff were so kind and generous, and the teas I bought are delicious. I can't wait to be back during tasting hours and try more of their selection. Incredible hospitality. A go-to for locals. Edit: I have a moderate to severe tannin sensitivity, the tea here is some of the only nonherbal tea I've ever been able to drink on an empty stomach with out nausea or vomiting and I have yet to experience headaches or migraines even when having many cups in a day, so this is a real treat as someone who LOVES traditonal teas but can't usually have them, or only a glass or two on a full stomach. I bought their lapsang souchong, blue people oolong, and duck shit oolong which are all excellent. I highly recommend both oolong blends, and don't be put off by the duck name, it's incredibly fragrant and floral. The souchong is fantastic but has a polarizing flavor, recommended if you like incense or smoky flavors. The honeysuckle is great when brewed with citrus. I will be trying all their teas when I can.

I stumbled into this store without realizing it was a 5-star gem. I was looking for some herbs to help with fatigue and discovered they even offer tea samples on-site. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about everything they carry, and the tea he prepared for me was exceptional. I’ve missed the taste of authentic tea/ flower tea—you just can’t find that in boba shops. After enjoying the tea he put together, I genuinely felt better. I’m so glad a store like this exists in the area! ⭐️

I just left this place thinking what a cool experience. I am new to tea as of today so i walked in with alot of questions. Ben was so helpful with me. He helped describe the teas and what each has to offer. He let me sample a few and showed me how to make the tea with the eazy cup which i purchased. I walked out with my first batch of loose tea Blue People Oolong and the Eazy cup. The tea was sealed in a nice bag with directions. Lastly my entire purchase was placed in an amazing paper bag with the Vital Tea Leaf logo. They take customer service serious and because they do i will be a return customer. Thanks Ben for the great experience.

This place is awesome, love the guy here he has really good suggestions on tea based on your preferences. There is a large variety and they can sell tea in basically any amount you need. They let you try the teas so you can pick your favorites. Definitely my favorite tea shop.

Super great experience. The owner invited us to tea tasting and served us two samples: aged puer and blue people. Amazing choices. Also a generous and fun person to talk to, he recommended us Yunan puer too saying it’s also pretty good but a lot cheaper. We ended up buying small bags of all 3. Best tea I had in Seattle. Will come back for more.
