If you love nondescript old school Italian joints where it's so dark it takes an hour for your eyes to adjust to the ambience, this is your place. The food is excellent, drinks are stellar, the vibe is gangster, and when there's jazz ... You may start speaking like a wiseguy.
We always love Vito's and the pandemic deliveries were no exception. Unlike other restaurants, the food always arrived hot and delicious. Granted, lasagne travels better than soup dumplings or even pizza. Cocktails are always well made and it certainly is a place that invites you to stick to the classics. The crowd is fun to watch as well--real assortment of people from medical staff to hipsters to seniors that live nearby.

Get the shrimp polenta. Also their grilled Ceasar absolutely slaps. They make their sauce in house and the dishes are never lacking fresh garlic. Often have live music/bands. Service is solid with a very welcome "speakeasy", old mob bar feel, very welcome to the hill area. Pro tip: ask about stuff secret upstairs lounge for party rentals.
