Had a great cheeseburger and wings. Love the tater tots and the beer selection is great. Service was awesome and the crowd was really enjoying the place, and this was on a Thursday. Great neighborhood atmosphere.

This place is phenomenal. An absolutely classic alehouse with the best service I've ever had.

Cozy atmosphere, really good fish and chips, excellent cole slaw, great cider. The best, though, was the service. Amazingly kind and thoughtful servers.

I've been coming here for over 20 years, and always recommended it to everyone.Nowadays, it is hit or miss. The staff is frequently less than friendly or affable, and the food quality has gone way down. It's really too bad, because this has been a go-to place for me, for years.

They handed out full sized candy bars on Halloween to me as a child, also have great food and beer.

Fantastic local watering hole with horseshoe bar and wide variety of on tap beer. Try the wings or fish and chips.

For a real taste of old-school Seattle, go to the Wedgewood Ale House, a historic establishment, that was the first place to sell alcohol in the Wedgewood neighborhood, dating back to 1933. Luckily this place has managed to stay open throughout the years, and still serves up all the locals. A very quality beer selection, that is constantly rotating, also wine, and liquor. Outfront there is patio seating, then inside a large dining area with a horseshoe bar, that will always have local sports on, then in the back a Family dining area, and also a speakeasy style room in the very back with a pool table and darts, that can also be rented out for special events. The staff is very friendly, and will make you feel at home. They are very versed on all the beers and wines they are serving. The menu serves up a great array of dishes that are of very high-quality. Some local favorites are the fish and chips, the world famous chicken wings, and probably the best deal on steamed clams in all of Seattle, trust me just try it. They also have music on occasion, as well as trivia nights, etc. this place is simply a hidden gem, that has survived through the years. If you want an unpretentious taste of old-school Seattle, and want to hang out with local Seattleites just go here, tell them that Doody sent you.

The owner opens up the back space bi-weekly for a music and poetry reading. Super prompt service and affordable!

These five stars come with a small caveat. My onion rings were... overcooked. I am picky about such things, so I'm giving the benefit of a little doubt that this is the norm. The service was great, the staff was clearly welcoming and the kind that gets to know their regulars. I had the spicy version of the Philly Cheesesteak and a bite of the Patty Melt. Delicious on both accounts. Would definitely try more stuff.

Awesome place. Super friendly staff in my experience. Excellent sandwiches. Sat by myself in a corner but was always checked up on.. no empty pints here. Bar is small but very neat. Funtivities to be had. Highly recommend, will visit again

We really like this place as a local watering hole and burger joint. It has the basics and does them well. Burgers have garlic in the patties making them even more savory than you'd expect. We always come back.
