Food menus are so simple that only oyster and clam . Way over price also charged 22% service fee after tax . Not worth it at all
Ambience is fantastic on the deck. Tables and chairs are average comfort. There is no parking per se. The salmon steak (not a high quality cut of the fish, was overcooked, very small, and $50. Gem salad was good (overdressed). Corn on sob was excellent (local and in season) with a bit too much sauce goo. In summary, if you want a decent meal with friends outside on a deck, this is a fine place to go.
Absolutely fantastic! The halibut was cooked to perfection and the flavors of all were outstanding. I'm not a fan of a 22% services charge for a table of 3. That was unexpected. We did, however, experience excellent service with several people attending to the table (waitress, water, table clearing, etc).
Our dinner at Westward was wonderful! The food was delicious, service was outstanding, and the view of the lake can't be beat. We lingered for a long time over dinner and coffee and never felt rushed. Highly recommend :-)
Despite our reservation and it not being very busy, our party was seated in a corner with very little view. I did not even know there was the option of a city view over the lake, until I went in search of a restroom. So I'm rather disappointed by the table selection of the host. There were some service mistakes, but they were honest mistakes. The food was pretty good, although the cost was considerably higher than I would have expected. Parking was a bit difficult as well.
We had an excellent meal all around and of course the view of downtown Seattle at sunset from the patio was perfect, especially for entertaining out of town guests. The chickpea fritters, oysters, summer squash, and halibut were delicious but the halibut was just slightly overcooked. Our primary waitress was excellent, super friendly, and very helpful in having the kitchen fire our courses so they did not all come out at once. Only negative issue at Westward is parking; the lot is small and only accommodates a handful of cars. Street parking is hard to find in that area so leave plenty of time before your reservation to find parking.
A beautiful spot fay or night, and the food and drinks are delicious. A group of us went in late on Saturday for a 9:30p rez after getting out of work and one of our servers seemed so bothered to be dealing with us I'm not sure what was going on! Everyone else was a delight and we will
This place has lost its charm. The view to the water is great, but that's about all I can say. The creativity of the menu offerings is gone and the price is way up. Went there for a family of 4 brunch, everyone had a simple dish, i.e. burger, quiche, nachos, we had 6 oysters and 1 beer, 1 glass of wine, 2 colas and it came to $260 for lunch! Manditory 22% tip is added to all meals now. Way overpriced for what you get. The music was terrible and way too loud for the dead vibe that was on the patio. I don't have any reason to come back.
We had a lovely table right by the water. Everything was perfect- the service, oysters, salad and halibut. Very romantic way to spend our wedding anniversary
This place is really just kind of a waste of time. The oysters were dry as if they had been shucked not to order, and the drinks are boring with way too many Mezcal and tequila combinations and they have a half chicken on the menu for $50, which is just offensive. I would skip this place unless you just really have to have a view on a nice day.

The freshest of shellfish (oysters) and a delicious garden salad. The bread plate slathered with butter was delicious. The drinks were a little off (Last Word and Paloma), much better at Walrus & Carpenter. Service was efficient and attentive.
The food was amazing and it's in a beautiful location. However, I had requested a table outside because we were celebrating our 10-year anniversary. They sat us inside near a dirty window so we couldn't appreciate the view and never mentioned our anniversary. We ordered the crispy potatoes, and we were asked if we wanted ketchup and/or aioli dipping sauces. We said yes to both and ultimately asked for another serving of aioli. Since the condiments were not on the menu (that we saw), we did not know until we received our bill that we were charged 3.00 for each condiment. Not a huge expense but seems cheap for a restaurant of this caliber. Overall, the experience was disappointing, but the food was amazing, and the restaurant has the potential to provide a great ambience and view if you're in the right spot.
It's a nice place, but it charges a 22% service charge on menu items that are already expensive. Halibut was overcooked but still good. Their sparkling water was either a white label version of peñafiel or indistinguishable from it, also made in Estado de Mexico which I found interesting. The pricing, and service charge gimmick won't have me returning here, because for a $250 dinner for two, I'd rather take a flight to mexico and have an amazing dinner with better mineral water.
Great spot for seafood and especially oysters. Good views of the water, the food is tasty, and the service is spot on. It can be pricey yes, but hey that's Seattle... Better get a reservation...
I always want to be more impressed by Westward. I was a huge fan before it changed ownership, and now I’m repeatedly underwhelmed. The food is good, but it feels like a significantly overpriced version of Hama Hama, with inferior food. Ultimately, I think you’re paying for the atmosphere, which is fabulous, to be fair. But for the price point, I would expect the staff to actually check in on the table. I’ve repeatedly have to wait 10 - 15 minutes for the servers to come over to greet the table, and another 10 - 15 minutes to get a drink (when the restaurant isn’t packed). When you order a $50 chicken, I’d like someone to see how things are (if, for example, you’d like another beverage to go with your meal, or a steak knife, so you can actually get into it). The automatically included 22% gratuity wouldn’t be an issue, if you felt like you were being well taken care of, versus ignored in the pretense of calling it a fine dining experience.
