My first visit to Yalla didn’t quite land for me — too many pickled elements where I was hoping for something warmer and more rounded. Still, the place stayed on my mind, so I gave it another try.
This time I mentioned my preference to the hostess, who took it in stride and pointed me toward a safer option.
I ordered the grilled kefta. It was aromatic without being heavy; cinnamon stood out most, followed by a gradual, steady heat that lingered lightly between bites.
A side of falafel with tahini was excellent — crisp exterior, soft interior, and well-balanced spice.
The hostess was friendly and easy to talk to, and the whole meal felt relaxed rather than hurried.

I love the support the owners give to great causes- they do regular fundraisers. You can order online or in person. Everything is carry out- no restaurant seating. The vegan items aren’t labeled but the owner was very helpful there! The lentil soup was absolutely amazing! The za’atar saj wasn’t my favorite but it was still quite good.
The best food I’ve had in Seattle and very reasonably priced! I’ve been looking for good falafel since moving from Chicago almost a year ago and in Yalla I’ve found that and so much more. Highly recommend it

Terrific
I wish it was easier to communicate over the phone or via email because I always want this food. They don’t always appear on delivery or pickup schedulers but i don’t know if that’s bc they’re actually closed or not. Food is incredible and would love to order it more!

The beef and cheese is excellent, and the whipped garlic is awesome. Most importantly, the flat bread is cooked perfectly and is so delicious.
