This is a place where you pick a table, scan a QR code, order on your phone, then pay at the counter before you leave.
I got the curry pork katsu, I was happy with the food, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. My order came with a small soup and salad. I was not given any water, all the waiter did was come to my table twice to drop off food.
When I went to check out, there was a gratuity added to the total, and I'd went there solo, I was handed a receipt to sign and add another tip to, I didn't tip on top of the added gratuity. I'd heard someone else arguing about a tip while I was eating and I can see why. I was not offered a receipt.
While the food was fine, I wouldn't go back. If this is the level of service you have, you should just become a counter service place.
The food is not good. The taste doesn't resemble Japanese cuisine and feels like it's cooked with unhealthy seasonings.
Considering the restaurant's pricing, the dishes offered are quite simple.
There is almost no service; I requested utensils from the staff twice, but they still haven't been provided.
Probably the best katsu I've had in Seattle.
I have come here many times and the food has always been great, this time was no different. I really think the value for the rolls is good and absolutely worth it. However this time I went in and I wasn't even given water. When I went to pay, the owner saw me and kinda just stood there ignoring me. It was strange. After reading other reviews I see other people having strange interactions with the owner demanding a tip, or other people not getting water. I would have recommended this place a year ago, now I am not so sure.
A bit pricey for the food qulity and low service level.
Ordered Spicy white tuna poke. I got a bowl of cold/room temperature rice with seasoned tune and seaweeds. It was a little disappointed poke as it's not like other usual poke.
A cup of water was not served together.
Nice 👍
the rolls were some of the skinniest--with least amount of fish inside--that i've seen.
Delicious sushi, katsu, udon, and ramen. Kind staff and great service.

We had a great time at Yu Sushi and Katsu! The food was fantastic - we got a mix of rolls, nigiri, seaweed salad, and a taco. The taco was wrapped in a seaweed shell and was delicious (really tasty sauce!) and a really fun, creative dish! Service was excellent and friendly. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back!
Vegetarian options: We got some vegetarian dishes and they were great! We are mostly vegetarian but sometimes eat fish, which we did that night.
Kid-friendliness: We had our baby and she sat on our lap (she’s too young for a high chair). They were really friendly about her being there and the environment was mellow enough that she fell asleep on us!

I ordered gyudon, which came with miso soup. Gyudon was average and quite expensive. Definitely sub-par compared to 500¥ gyudon in Japan. Not worth the price. Server demanded a tip and said 'you can't eat here if you don't tip.' Server never gave me water, and initially gave me the wrong order.

The Sashimi lunch set and Sushi lunch were seriously rip off, fish was not properly cut and the fish fell off from the sushi, I would be hungry if I didn’t have a big breakfast. The spicy white tuna flavor was ok, but was on the too spicy end and very small portion. The beat experience was the miso soup, but definitely not enough to convince me to go back again. Too many better options in Seattle.
