I could instantly tell this was old reheated food. It was complete mush. The meat also smelled and tasted really funny. Don’t spend your money here. Absolutely disgusting.

Couple Somali friends recommended me here from a while back. Always found myself coming back for the goat and rice. Def one of Seattle treasured hole in the wall and without a doubt a south end staple in the community

Best chicken suqaar in Seattle, highly recommend the chapati with chicken suqaar and toss in a chicken leg plus sambusa. The goat over rice is to be recommended as well.

Ok it's not about the service, my friend speaks fluent Somali and he took me here to try the food and introduce me to some of the regulars who come here for food and community. it's not a 5 star date spot but if you can get past the looks, the food will not disappoint. It's not advertised by big signs and lights for a reason, it's a community spot spread by word of mouth not run by American capitalism. Try it out and thank me later:)

The food was very delicious but the cleanliness of the place was below par. I really want to go back but I even got dirty cups for tea…that had uncooked rice on the outside. The smell of the floor was … and flies. As Muslims, it is half our imaan to be clean and keep things clean. Also, they people working there, not consistent with costumer service. It’s like hailing a cab in New York. You gotta work to get attention to order. I wish they wrote down our orders…

Home made taste of Somali food. Very nice family run place
If you're looking for "ambience" go somewhere else. If you're looking for huge portions of tasty food, this is your to-go place!

Yusra & Sabah’s is a cozy Somali restaurant known for its authentic East African flavors and warm, inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, offering a diverse menu of traditional Somali dishes. You can expect to find hearty plates of suqaar (seasoned beef or chicken stir-fry), bariis iskukaris (spiced rice), and freshly baked sabaayad (Somali flatbread). They also serve canjeero, a soft and spongy bread, typically enjoyed with a rich stew like maraq hilib (meat stew).

Yusra & Sabah’s is also popular for its comforting drinks, such as shah (spiced Somali tea) and maraq basbaas (chili soup), served with a side of lime to enhance the flavors. The restaurant’s interior is simple yet warm, with a focus on Somali hospitality. It’s a great spot for those seeking a taste of home or anyone looking to explore Somali cuisine.

What makes Yusra & Sabah’s unique is their commitment to quality ingredients and their attention to creating a family-like environment, where guests feel welcomed and appreciated.

Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to onions and they always make sure to not contaminate my order.

You can't order online. The website doesn't work.Calling in doesn't work. The restaurant is sorta dingy. But damn the food is ?! An aunty came out and took my order, went back into the kitchen and promptly forgot. She came back out and confirmed my order. Then threw down in the kitchen. The food was legit amazing! You know the dingiest place have the best food. Run to this spot. We had the whole fish, and the goat and rice was the best for me.I fed four people comfortably for under $70. You can't beat that!
