Zagol Ethiopian Restaurant Reviews
A bite away from home. Yes for this place!
The veggie dishes are amazing!! Honestly, I’m a reluctant meat eater and the chicken dishes we tried (2) didn’t do much for me, but when I eat Ethiopian food, I tend to seek out the veggie dishes...and this restaurant didn’t disappoint. I just wish I lived closer, but at least now I know it’s worth the drive. I should also mention that the staff is really friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Zagol Ethiopian Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its flavorful vegetarian combos and diverse menu options. The restaurant boasts a cozy, homey ambiance that creates a welcoming atmosphere. The service is praised for its attentiveness, as the waitstaff are open to answering questions and catering to the needs of both first-time and returning customers.
The Zagol Combo is a popular choice, providing a great variety of dishes. Customers have also enjoyed the Doro Wat, Doro Tibis, and the vegetable combo, which feature fresh ingredients and a masterful use of spices. The spongy Ethiopian bread complements the flavors beautifully. The veggie combo is presented as a beautiful platter with fresh injera, and the fish dish is described as crispy on the outside and juicy inside, marinated to perfection. Ethiopian Harar beer is a light and crisp drink option that pairs well with the meals.
While the restaurant's large space offers ample seating, some customers noted a small charge for injera per person, which is not always common. The atmosphere includes cultural decor that enhances the authentic experience. The staff is friendly and treats children well, creating a family-friendly environment. Although service may start off slow, it improves, and the food leaves a lasting impression, making Zagol Ethiopian Restaurant a go-to spot for authentic Ethiopian cuisine.
