Heard about this place new to Seattle coming from Chicago. Was looking forward to a corned beef sandwich. Wasn’t sure what the tiny bulb quinoa looking things on my sandwich were. Never had that on my corned beef sandwich and been to Jewish deli before. The corned beef was good but think next time I’m clearer about what I want from a sandwich. People were nice!

My family and I come here quite frequently as we are huge fans of the food. This last Sunday I tried a new breakfast dish the potato hash, and that was all I ordered. I order at 9:35am and didn’t receive my food until 10:14am. I checked in at the 30 minute mark and the worker told me “Sorry it will be done soon but the hash does take a lot longer”. I wish I would have been given a warning when I order, I was prepared for the average 15-20 minute wait but not 40 minutes for 1 breakfast dish. I will say it was very good and tasty still just was a little disappointed with the service and not getting a warning on the time it takes for them to make the dish as I could have ran a error or something besides waiting outside for the whole 40 minutes.

A takeout bakery and deli in the Pinehurst neighborhood of NE Seattle. Their specialty is bagels, done in the Montreal style (smaller, denser, and more chewy than New York style), offered in the usual range of flavors, from Plain to Everything and in between. They also bake other breads such as challah and sourdough loaves, plus pastries. There are, in addition, a few breakfast items and sandwiches on the menu, along with a covered space with tables and chairs outdoors. It's very popular with the neighborhood crowd, with long lines on weekends common. The bagels and breads have been very good every time I've bought them. Recommended.

Parking: The lot does get busy on weekends as it's shared with other businesses, so street parking would be the better option then.

Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs can use a ramp to access the takeout window.

Some of the best bagels in the Seattle area. Love their pastrami as well and great schmears. Everything I've tried has been excellent, now I gotta be more adventurous and try some of their other offerings.

It's a shanda when you can't even trust a place called Zylberschtein's to make a proper challah. I called to confirm that it was pareve, afraid that they'd be offended I even asked, but nope -- it contains milk. Absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary.

Edit: The best excuse an ostensibly Jewish deli has for their challah not being pareve is "a unique flavour"? News flash guys, all the goyischer bakeries are already putting butter and milk in their challah, there's nothing unique about it.

Waited 35 minutes for a sandwich and I was on my lunch break. But I appreciate them for call after my review and fixing it says a lot. Thank u!!

This is a place for takeout, or sitting in a heated plastic tent, so the ambiance won't make you swoon, but they know their baking. Can't really compare it to New York delis, as our only visit to Katz's gave my wife food poisoning, but we were very happy with Zylberschteins. Looking forward to exploring their menu a bit more, but the rugula were a big hit, and the rye bread is a winner ?

Best Reuben on a garlic bagel anywhere! Tender and delicious meat and a perfectly chewy bagel. Don’t miss this wonderful neighborhood spot.

This place was pretty good. It had a line, but the line moved pretty quickly. The parking lot is small. I ordered the Frankel breakfast sandwich. I would definitely order it again, but it did not have enough meat in it.

Am looking for the best reuben sandwich. This one was good, the corned beef was tender, but I think I like the Dingfelder's more still. Liked the minimalistic potato salad.

I live within walking distance of this place and am a frequent customer over the last 3 years trying everything from bagels to sandwiches to desserts/breads so one could say I am a Zylberstein's SME. Yesterday I placed my first catering order for a corporate event (almost $420 worth of food for 13 people) and it was a disaster. Half of our drinks were missing, no utensils or napkins provided despite being part of the order (guess we should eat the coleslaw with our hands and then wipe our hands on our clothes?), and the quality of the food was no where close to what is served in store (ex: tuna salad barely had any veggies, pastrami was sloppy/sparse, and cookies were dry and brittle (day old i suspect and not baked fresh). Overall it was embarrassing to have hyped this place up. Not a single person complimented the food after and within an hour people were buying food and snacks to complete their lunch.

TLDR: This place has gone downhill and the overpriced food is not worth it. Better off going to macrina in maple leaf.

Tried several items, the best was the churro donut. The bagels are nice and chewy and the cream cheese has a nice flavor. Pastrami is seasoned well and tender.

The bagels and donuts are very good, there is a good variety of pastries as well. The breakfast sandwiches are big and filling. The staff are very nice and attentive, takeout only, however there's a table outside.

I ordered a veggie bagel and my husband ordered a regular bagel with cream cheese, he found an incredibly long hair in his bagel and almost choked on it! We wanted to go back but we were already 43 minutes away when we tried them. We called during their business hours to no answer. Also a little pricey
