I've been eating here for 30 years, and it remains my favorite Chinese food in the country.
We love Moon Palace and always visit when in the area! We discovered MP when we received a recommendation to another Chinese restaurant that was closed and have been happy ever since! Their food is flavorful, plentiful and well with the drive (we live south of Olympia)!!!!
We recommend their Almond Chicken, Lemon Chicken or any of their spicy dishes! Their soups are tasty, always served hot and we strongly recommend their dumplings!

Moon Palace offers excellent Cantonese food at reasonable prices. The service may be a bit slow due to the restaurant's popularity, but the attentive and experienced staff provide a good experience. The ambiance is somewhat outdated, yet the delicious barbeque pork and traditional Cantonese dishes make it a must-visit. The friendly and accommodating staff, along with the option for spicy dishes, ensure a memorable dining experience. Lunch specials, including the teriyaki chicken and fried shrimp combo, are ample and satisfying. The hot and sour soup and tasty egg rolls add to the appeal. The restaurant is busy, with good volume takeout orders, but the server works hard to ensure all tables have what they need. The fresh veggies and meat make for delightful meals, including options like the sizzling seafood plate and vegetarian dishes such as green bean tofu. Easy parking is available in a shared lot, making it a great place to stop for a meal.
