“What a lovely Thursday evening at Five Bistro! We had a reservation at 6pm to celebrate a birthday. A few members of our group arrived early around 5:30pm and leisurely enjoyed drinks and appetizers at the bar. The bartender even gave us a glimpse into next month's special drink-- featuring grapefruit, ginger, and tequila! We enjoyed the baked goat cheese with crostinis, and especially liked the olive tapenade it came with. Order extra crostini to maximize goat cheese use! Around 5:50pm, we were seated at our table on the outdoor patio where we stayed warm by the tabletop fire. For dinner, we ordered 3 large pizzas (Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, & Kale) and a large Caesar salad to share between our group of 4 people. Everything was delicious, especially with the chili oil on our pizza crusts. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and Five continues to be an Edmonds favorite!“

“Wonderfully creative food that didn't feel overly pretentious and filled us up. The Staff was informative and friendly, taking times to explain and recommend dishes without being asked; If this was located downtown it would be twice the price and still worth it.“

Square One Bistro Bistros •
Seattle Central College - Science and Math Building, 1701 Broadway, Seattle

“This place is the hidden gem I've been searching for. Inside broadway building on your first left is a bakery and cafe run by culinary students. You will find the most quality French pastries and other delectable baked goods for an affordable price. On Fridays, the remaining items are half off! I absolutely enjoyed the curry and chicken choussan; so much so that I went back and bought 3 more to share.“

“Such fabulous meals and setting! We ordered 5 dishes to share & all of them were very very good. My guests kept saying all dishes were so yummy and the portions were very generous. We all want to return for more dinner dishes. In the past, I visited Epulo for brunch (which I miss dearly) and Happy Hour. Now I also want to come back for dinner! Service was also wonderful. Thank you for the great dinner, and allowing me to receive compliments from my friends for taking them to Epulo.“

Red Brick Bistro Bistros • $$
825 Eastlake Ave E, Seattle

“Keep in mind that there is a hot food "dead hour" from 10am - 11am as they transition from breakfast to lunch. During this time, however, you can still grab a sandwich or whatever is in the cooler. Coffee is still available during that hour. That being said, there are usually two options. One typically includes a meat protein while the other is usually vegetarian (not vegan). Both options are almost always sub $10.00. For Seattle, this is a great value for what you get and the meals are typically pretty health focused. After all, you're at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance so that adds up.This review is still during the pandemic (Delta Variant being the current big one), and a lot of patrons will be immunocompromised. It's nice to have this option and the tables spread far enough apart and cleaned regularly. Staff is very friendly. I see the odd review from non Seattle natives thinking that the staff is slightly standoffish, but I believe that's just a culture difference and people mistaking our mannerisms for curtness. I'll stop the review here before it gets more preachy. Overall I definitely recommend.“
