I stopped here and have to say I was surprised at the quality of sushi. I am always cautious when someone claims how good sushi is at a place. It was fantastic. Wish I had taken some pictures of the specialty roles, i.e., Kona and Firecracker Roles. Staff was on point. Knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely be back

One regular roll is around $20 so please keep that in mind. Place is relatively small as you can hear how the manager reprimands their employees. I recommend the chicken karaage and the fried calamari if they still have these on their menu.

Chris was our server tonight, he was FANTASTIC. He mentioned he had only been working there for 4 months and made great recommendations and was very knowledgeable and friendly!
The sushi was super fresh and the flavors were balanced and not too salty (or covered in unnecessary sauces). The sushi really spoke for itself! I was impressed. As someone who is always on the hunt for hot sushi spots this was very memorable! (I recommend the Lemon Salmon roll)
Thanks Chris for being our server! We will see you again!! :)

I was served raw chicken last night. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until after I ate the first big bite; it tasted terrible and didn't feel like the texture of chicken. So I got my phone out and turned on the flashlight... sure enough, it was pink and undercooked meat (despite what the restaurant says). I took a photo before sending it back to kitchen. They just deducted that one appetizer from my bill. The rest of the food at dinner was ok. My family usually likes their sushi; but between the high prices and my concern about food safety now, I'm less inclined to go back.

I absolutely love coming here! The sushi is always delicious!! I also love the amazing service we always get. We used to come often and see a waitress who is no longer there but we've been seeing Jung and he is absolutely amazing! So kind and on top of everything! I highly recommend this place! It's the only place my husband and I go for sushi in kitsap county!

I went here to try the sushi as on fb it had good recommendations. We spent over 100$ on sushi alone. (Also got chicken teriyaki for the kids. ) i kindly asked them to please separate hot and cold rolls as I've noticed some sushi places slap them all in same container. I like my raw sushi cold and my baked ones with cream cheese hot. They did separate the individual container but put them on top of eachother in the same paper bag. I didn't realize till i got home 🙃 as I had two large take out bags and assumed... that was a bad vibe as soon as I got home and saw they were indeed not separate and my cold ones were getting warm. Then proceeded to open and enjoy regardless and realized wow 100$+ order no chop sticks or napkins or silverware at all.... nice.
Then what really put me over was they slapped Wasabi and the ginger right in with my sushi only separated by the fake plastic grass the juice of the over powering Wasabi ruined my most one of my favorite rolls the rainbow roll it was also my more expensive specialty roll. My Cali roll ruined Wasabi takover!! Parts of my fried rolls were also ruined!! I hate Wasabi taste with a passion. We threw away 4+ of each roll that was near the Wasabi. I've never had a sushi place not contain the gross green crap in a separate sauce container. So I didn't think I needed to specify that.
The sushi I did get to try was good the ones that left that horrible taste in my mouth ruined my whole night. This was 2 nights ago and I'm still pissed! Leaving a review so if you despise Wasabi also please tell them ahead to not include it!
I will be back as the sushi I had was good but it will not be my first choice I will be trying others that were recommended first before trying Jo:a again. Also if you tell someone 15-20 mind for pick up I was there 25 mins after placing order and still stood around for 15 + mins waiting...

Just moved back to the area after 5 years and wow this place just keeps getting better and better I got sushi and the infernal katsu both were amazing, I am so glad this place hasn’t changed and would eat here everyday if my wife would allow it! Shout out to Brittany she was a fantastic waitress and went over and beyond to make sure we were satisfied!

Your first response lacked accountability, so I’m writing a new one. My salmon was grey and I have medical documentation stating that it gave me food poisoning. My problem wasn’t the bringing outside drinks for I know it’s a standard policy, WHICH IS WHY I DID NOT MENTION IT! My problem was the attitude of the female staff and the gossiping behavior they exhibited. The waiter himself was very polite about it which I didn’t have an issue with. But your reply to me lacked empathy and accountability, hence it was just confirmation to not go back. I DO NOT want a refund. I want this review to stain your 4.4 review.

Salmon was dark and old, it made my stomach upset. Employees exhibited gossipy and patronizing behavior towards us, constantly staring and gossiping about us right in front of us

Food was so good! A Perfect spot to bring family and friends. I like to go on less busier days. Sushi is fresh and reminds me of my goto spots in LA and NYC.

I honestly love this place but it’s impossible to talk to a real person so I decided to leave a review.
I ordered food from them on Sunday night and while the food was great there were so many bones in the unagi that we got. I’ve had this dish at other places and have never encountered bones. I accidentally ate one and it was stuck in my throat for days. I was so concerned I almost went to the doctor. I made me throw up my food it was so uncomfortable.
