We saw the nice fire pit seating area from the road, so I pulled in to the parking lot. I walked in with my son and asked if we could go to the fire pit to have some hot chocolate. The staff member said "No, our waiters don't serve out there."I replied "ok, so can I sit at a table, then buy the hot chocolate and walk out to the fire pit to sit with my son?"The staff seemed confused then said "no."I replied "well, can I buy a some hot chocolate from a local store and walk over to the fire pit with it and sit with my son?"The staff replied "well, nobody is probably going to stop you."I don't know, it just seemed a bit weird to me. I was fine paying whatever they wanted to charge- I just wanted to sit with my son by the outdoor fire pit.Seems like this place would try very hard to accommodate people and work on hospitality to make up for the incident that happened a few years ago where the owner pulled a weapon outside of the restaurant, but maybe that's just not the culture that management is working towards.

The dining experience here is very inconsistent. Sometimes the food is good. Other times, it's lousy. Unfortunately, it was a lousy fried chicken and one of their very gross biscuit... I now know why the biscuits and gravy are. The biscuits are flavorless and do not have the correct flavor and consistency for a buttermilk biscuit. The gravy has sausage that has way too much fennel. The fennel is overwhelming. Let's go back to that lousy fried chicken. The chicken had less flavor than chicken from KFC. It was just bland... If Tan had a flavor, this would be it. The biscuit I had was terrible. I didn't finish the biscuit because it was so gross. As far as pricing, it is definitely overpriced for what you get. I do not recommend Maynard's. As a fine dining restaurant, fine dining is not what it is.

I was incredibly underwhelmed by this restaurant. When you first walk in, it looks more upscale and modern. But the food was a major letdown. We had the early bird special and nothing was a stand out. The appetizers were alright but the crab was dry and the lasagna very mediocre. The deserts sadly looked and tasted like they were purchased from the Safeway down the street. I have nothing bad to say about the service, but the food was a disappointment.

They are so slow even overstaffed with no costumers!!!!Arrive at hh to a sign that says please wait to be seated. After 5 min and no one comes, several waiters saw i was waiting and said nothing, i go to the bar. She says yeah there's no hostess right now. I say maybe take the sign down and she ignores the suggestion. Or at least have staff tell people standing there waiting, again no response.I order a drink and finish it while waiting on my food. She ignores the empty glass for 10 minutes, leaves the bar for 5 of them. My hh fish and chips comes out after 20 minutes when absolurely no one is here and there's 5 chefs visable in the open concept kitchenPeople on Google said hh is a great deal for fish n chips. Fyi if the price is half but the portion is half.... it's not a deal at all! It's 1 piece and half fries.... so exact same price as full price. Good batter, frozen dry fish... disappointing given the atmosphere and prices suggest a nicer mealThis place reads like a tourist trap but in a place with no tourists and a sad semi kinda view. Seems from what i saw its a place for corporate types to go to lunch and expense the bill so they don't care that the value isn't there, just that there's a big boring menu so everyone can find something.

I’ve literally never left a review for food before, but I’m doing this now to save anybody else from potentially considering Maynard’s as an option. With the knowledge that I have now, I would have paid the total in order to prevent myself from eating there. My wife ordered the corn beef and cabbage. What she received was gristle, fat, and cabbage that may as well have been cooked in an instant pot for around 12 hours as it was extremely soggy and limp.My mom got the fried chicken, which was not cooked all the way through and had an abnormal texture. They also were out of biscuits so they just her some garlic bread without telling us until the meal was served. We had already had garlic bread as an appetizer. My daughter (4) asked me to try her macaroni and cheese because she thought something was wrong with it. It was like some sort of yellow soup poured over noodles.I had a roast beef sandwich that was extremely fatty with little seasoning.Overall this was one of the worst meals I’ve had in my life. I’m not a snob, I’ll put down my share of Big Macs but if you eat here you will be disappointed there is no way anybody ever eats here twice.

I dined at Maynard’s tonight for the first time as a party of 16, this is a great location for a nice dinner for large parties. We went for the early bird special and let me tell you, the low price does not reflect the quality. For $25 I received a delicious green salad, a delicious large portioned steak entree, and a cherry cheesecake dessert. The service was great and the location felt casual/upscale. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals, I specifically reccomend the steak and the fried chicken. It comes with this amazing hot honey! One thing I would steer clear of is the children’s appetizer. Apples covered in honey are a recipe for a sticky disaster.Parking: Huge free parking lot.

Had steak, very grizzly and over seasoned however it was cooked perfect. Way too much dressing on the Caesar salad. Cheesecake dessert was more than adequate. The restaurant atmosphere was very nice. Had some very nice upscale touches that I thought were quite nice. One big downer was dried food from a previous guest on the side of my table.

We were greeted in a timely manner and seated near the fire. Our server was attentive and ordered the courses so they came out at precisely the right time.My meal was delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned.

EVENT: 2024 Valentine's Day Supper with Sweetheart. They had special menu for this evening. This was my fifth visit overall. Previous experiences were 4 to 5 stars.PROS: Table cloth with red runner, bite size chocolates, dozen roses at reserved table (all pre-arranged at extra reasonable charge). Abundant parking. Sweetheart enjoyed taste of her King Crab.CONS: All menu items appeared extra pricey compared to previous visits. Exceptionally slow service, both in taking orders and food delivery. They appeared understaffed with servers and kitchen staff. Hostess casual attire not appropriate for/not representative of otherwise classy restaurant (she was wearing combat boots and a loose fitting tank style dress). Rye Manhattan seemed watered down. Caesar salad small and unremarkable. Tenderloin Beef Oscar - meet cooked exactly to my request (medium rare), very tender and tasty. However crab topping dry and tasteless. Kitsap potatoes for my dish never appeared despite server's promise to bring out. Sweetheart King Crab arrived lukewarm.BOTTOMLINE: Won't return here for future Valentine's Day Dinners. At $450+ total tab, I expect I can do much better elsewhere.
